This place is horrible. Dark, dingy café style room where you basically rub shoulders with the people cramped in the seat next to you, I waited 40 minutes for my drink. 1.5 hours for main course. I could see a fire place but it was still cold. poor children next to us were starving .. I would of offered them... More

Thank you for your feedback joshcanspell. We are disappointed to hear you did not enjoy your experience at Felons. Your wait times for service sound exceptionally long and this is very unusual. I am certain that had you mentioned that the temperature was less than ambient our staff would have been more than happy to tend to the heating arrangements.... More

Throughout Tasmania its hard not to get great fresh seafood, but the Blue Eye we were served here was outstanding. We ate here after our ghost tour of Port Arthur. Service was good but a bit short staffed on the night.

What an incredible dinner just before our ghost tour! I had the beef cheeks, but the venison and fish looked just as lovely. I topped it off with a beautiful plate of Tassie cheese. The service was also impeccable. Just a lovely evening! I recommend the Ghost Rock Pinot Gris....perfect ghost viewing wine.

Staff were friendly.. helpful with cider choices. . Meals were nice.. standard parma meals at $27 are a bit pricey but were very nice.. my partner asked for vegies instead of salad and was served it but with no chips..!!!! Desserts were heaven.. sundae was amazing.. staff were helpful when asked for desserts to be hurried as we had a... More

After spending a full day at Port Arthur Historic Site and doing a Ghost Tour we were really looking forward to a nice meal in a warm relaxing environment but unfortunately it didn't happen. There were only 5 other tables at various stages of their meals when we arrived but we were shown to a table furthest from the fire... More

Thank you for providing us with this feedback Dee B. We are very concerned to learn that your experience at Felons Bistro was simply not to standard and quite unacceptable especially after enjoying a day on Site and a Ghost Tour. Please be assured that we are addressing the configuration of the tables and that our staff have been advised... More

Actually came here in May 2013 but the drop-down date list didn't extend that back. Stayed in Taranna and was looking for a casual place to eat on one of the nights and came by here since we had visited the adjoining tourist centre for the Port Arthur Historic Site. More than a year later, I still remember the dishes... More

Excellent food and service. I am vegan and they were able to organise for me (at short notice) a delicious entree and main course. My partner had fish which was apparently superb. A wonderful night.

Unfortunately we could not sample the culinary delights in Felons because we were "debased" out... and here's why. So after M and I went on a Port Arthur ghost tour (5pm), we decided to grab a light meal from Felons bistro after hearing rave reviews. Upon arriving there were 2 other tables of diners (2-4pp), so needless to say, not... More

Thank you for providing this feedback. It is very disappointing and indeed shocking to read how you were treated at Felons. Your experience certainly doesn't live up to the expectations that you understandably had based on other reviews. We are actively investigating the matter and considering signage options to minimise the risk of future patrons having the same negative experience.... More

The sea food pasta was one of a kind. Jummie! I would recommend this dish! The restaurant next to the Port Arthur Historic Site entree.

We had a nice meal at this restaurant but it slightly lacked ambience because it was just a partitioned off area of the visitor centre which is a cafe by day. Meals were nice but thought some were over priced as they were really just schnitzel or steak with chips and salad. We had seafood pasta and lamb rump which... More
