Great dinner and ghost tour

Thoroughly recommend doing the Port Arthur after dark package. The dinner at Felons was fine dining and the ghost tour quite thrilling and intriguing.

Ate at Felons on our recent visit to Port Arthur. This was the only place open for Dinner on the Tuesday night that we were at Port Arthur and it turned out to be an excellent meal with good, attentive service and a a more than adequate menu with a good wine list. Can thoroughly recommend it.

Dinner at Felons Bistro was not a positive experience. The service could best be described as non-existent and unprofessional. The quality/price ratio was extremely poor. An overcooked, tough steak (ordered medium rare, presented grey) with an undressed salad and gluggy pepper sauce was $34; a tiny fillet of trevalla with smashed spuds and salsa verde was $32, creme brulee set... We had booked here as part of the Port Arthur Ghost tour. We didn't have a high expectation. How wrong were we. This turned out to be the best meal we had during our stay in Tasmania. I had the seafood chowder and the lamb back strap with macadamia nuts. While my partner upgraded $7 for a huge rib eye.... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal here. The food was exquisite, the menu consisting of traditional bistro meals with a smattering of more gourmet choices also available. The quality of our meals was far above 'bistro' standard. My only regret was that the restaurant itself wasn't more appealing. The surroundings certainly didn't match the high standard... More

We ate at the restaurant after our evening Ghost Tour and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 course meal. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. We followed the time guidelines set by the Port Arthur website so that there was no issue with dinner and the tour overlapping and it all worked out perfectly for us. It... More

Port Arthur is one of the most stunning tourist attractions in Australia and their restaurant is located in what looks like a factory canteen. Such a shame! Whilst we enjoyed a pretty good meal and very good service, I couldn't quite enjoy it as much as I would have liked due to the design of the restaurant and its location.... More

We recently ate at Felon's Restaurant which is located in the Port Arthur Historic site. During the day its a cafe style atmosphere catering for the large tourist crowds and at night they covert it into a more intimate restaurant. Bookings are highly recommended. Can be done on the same day if you are visiting Port Arthur (but do it... More

We booked an After Dark Experience - being a two course meal and a ghost tour. Dinner was at 6.30pm, and ghost tour at 8.30pm - two hours for dinner - more then enough time we thought. We arrived approximately ten minutes late and were seated at a table for two. We went through the menu and made our selections... More

We enjoyed a meal prior to doing the ghost tour. All of our meals (4) were cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely polite and helpful and the cost of our meals were very reasonable. I would recommend that you book early as it was quite busy the night we dined.
