Better than expected

Wasn't expecting much from a restaurant in a tourist location but food, wine and service all exceptional. I had a well cooked and tasty chicken parmie and a companion had a seafood pasta that she raved about for days after. Was a bit disappointed to be honest. We just finished our Ghost Tour on a high, had wandered the art gallery waiting for our booking & then sat & waited for an hour to get our meals. We struggled to attract the attention of waitstaff to get additional drinks & they were very slow clearing dirty dishes. I wouldn't recommend... More

Cafe cooks charging Restaurant prices. Whilst the waiting staff (2) is friendly it was found lacking. 20 people on seats and waited 18 minutes to be asked for a first drink. Sides did not arrive with meals, nor after we mentioned. The food was average at best - and stuck 20 nouveau years in the past. The menu reads well... More

We had dinner as part of a Ghost Tour package, 2 courses of your choice. Between us we tried the meat platter and seafood chowder entrees - chowder was amazing, meat was meh. For main, seafood pasta and eye fillet - both were good, steak cooked perfectly.

We were a group of five. We booked a table, and even though it was the middle of winter, there were plenty of patrons. They have a varied menu and a specials board. The prices were mainland levels, but the tourists probably didn't notice. Everything at our table were perfectly cooked and well presented. They make an effort to source... More

We had dinner before the Ghost Tour. The range of wine 'by the glass' was good. The service was excellent, but the meals were just average. They read really well but were disappointing. It was more upmarket pub than top restaurant. The restaurant was let down by the chefs.

We had dinner prior to the ghost tour. Great range of local wine and food and good variety on the menu.

We had read very differing reviews on Felons so weren't sure what to expect. Had a few days down in this area of Tassie and were pleasantly surprised with the great food and exceptional service. We ended up eating at Felons twice, the first time was just for dinner, we loved it so much we booked again as part of... More

The meal my husband and I had here was honestly one of the best we've had in a while. The service was really great too. We did this as a deal with the ghost tour which worked out really well. It isn't a cheap place but it's worth it.

Excellent meals and friendlyservice. Very well woven into the Port Arthur theme without being kitsch. Being able to walk back to the PA Villas through the area at night was also a treat.
