As good as ever!

You don't come here for plush surrounds; it's rather like sitting in a friend's very nice sun-room, just off the kitchen, at their beach house. The food is modern Australian cafe style and ultra-fresh. Seafood features, as it should in a coastal town with great fishing nearby. No room for... read more

Have literally just finished my last mouthful of the 12 hour marinated mushrooms, soooo tasty, wish my tummy was bottomless so I could try more of the appetising meals on offer. Will be back, probably for lunch!!

We were recommended The Lucky Duck by friends in Melbourne so made a special effort to visit this morning for breakfast. We were not disappointed; the food is top notch, incredibly fresh ingredients beautifully cooked and nicely presented. The 12 hour marinaded mushrooms on toast deserve a special mention because they were to die for, absolutely delicious. The owners are... More

Driving past on a Saturday afternoon drive. Said to hubby...'There's a little place back there we could have lunch. Looks a bit daggy but let's have a look.' Wow! The food is amazing! Service is spot on. Very professional people operating this quaint, out of the way cafe. Couldn't recommend it more highly if you are down this way. Oh... More

Happened upon Lucky Duck looking for a late lunch on a rainy Sunday arvo. High quality, tasty food at reasonable prices. Much better than you should expect for an out of the way establishment. I would go out of my way to eat that well at Lucky Duck. I learned the locals like it also.

Lovely location, daggy decor and very good food - but nothing special. Service was very attentive, a bit pricey.

A pleasant little cafe overlooking the water with equally pleasant food, but at prices more suited to a restaurant with Sydney Harbour views. Ok for coffee, but food can be sourced more cheaply on the Tasman Peninsula.

We have a shack in the area and have had coffee etc. over the years. Coffee is excellent and the restaurant is always immaculate. We had breakfast today which was delicious; free-range eggs, bacon, sausages, lovely homemade bread and relish. It was nice to see organic seasonal produce available to purchase. We think the prices are fair as all products... More

Called in for afternoon tea. Coffee prices as expected around $5 mug BUT an average slice of apple and rhubarb sponge/pie was $14.50 per serve which was outrageous. It was nice and made on the premises but still did not justify the price. Had there been a price on the item in the cabinet we would never have been conned.... More
