The best home made food and great coffee!

Lucky Ducks is always reliable for great coffee, excellent home made food and friendly and happy service. Their pies are amazing and although they are a little pricey at $10 each, you have to remember they are all home made with local produce and if you were buying them at Salamanca or Battery... read more

We ate here on two occasions and both times each course was superb. A little bit pricey , but worth it to get away from pizza and chips! The seafood was superb and service was spot on. The beef tagine was great for a cold and wet evening. Make sure you make a booking or get there before before 6pm... More

Amazing view, excellent fish and chips, first class atmosphere! You really shouldn't miss this place, it's' just the job'! Travelling from the UK, it was a delight to find a combination of delicious meals and snacks, some of which were unique and looked delicious, (though we opted for the excellent fish and chips!), and a coffee and cookie to die... Great little restaurant on the water front in Nubeena. We stopped for coffee and found a fantastic menu, fresh food make to order and terrific coffee. Fresh produce and locally made. The service was friendly and professional. Any where else in Australia this would be a million dollar view and it's here in Nubeena. The drinks menu included Tasmanian wines... More

Unfortunately, this venue with lovely view did not impress with it's food. Expensive prices - $26 for 4 crumbed pieces of fish, awful chips and about a tablespoon of basic salad. Disappointing.

Ate here twice and was equally impressed each time. The menu on the wall seems underwhelming and over-priced. In fact, on face-value it looks like pub food: fish and chips, steak and chips, chicken schnitzel. However, what is served is far from the ordinary. Food was cooked beautifully and presented in ways that really looked every bit as appetising. Servings... More

Two nights in Port Arthur and dined at Lucky Ducks both nights. First night enjoyable, second night even better. Food was beautifully prepared - we had the beer battered flathead first night and the marinated local quail the second. Just great. Accompanying salads were excellent. Wine list looks low key but is surprising - each wine had bottle age from... More

Coffee, food, service, location. Superb place, must stop. Lamb pie was epic! Service was all smiles, great value as well.

Had the most wonderful dinner. Baked salmon and salad for me and my husband had the flathead. Fresh, gorgeous and beautifully presented. (Thats the food not the husband - but he is not bad either!) Accompanied by the local chardonnay, as recommended by the owner. Fantastic sunset - almost as good as the dinner. A cafe and view not to... More

It said Spicy Thai Beef Coconut Curry w/ steamed rice and baby spinach $29. Self explanatory you'd think. What arrived looked like lumps in diarrhea. I'm serious. Dark stagnant goo next to the proverbial upturned teacup of rice. Totally unappetizing. We all know that sometimes what looks awful can be surprisingly good. Not this sucker. It was certainly spicy but... More
