Our table of family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our River's Edge experience on a sunny Saturday morning. The platters were presented beautifully, the food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly.

Revisited this wonderful restaurant for lunch today. As before, we found the whole experience magic. The gardens of this beautiful old building create a wonderful ambience and the food, while limited in choice, is truly excellent. Jane goes to a great deal of trouble to make sure that your experience is memorable. We could not give it any higher recommendation,... More

We had a beautiful relaxing time at the Riversedge Cafe. The staff were very friendly and gave fantastic service. The food was amazing, both in presentation and taste. Generous serves and average prices. A must do again place.

Friends had visited this restaurant and said it was a lovely spot for lunch. So took a Sunday drive to check it out. Warm cosy place with wood heater burning, lovely for this time of year. Was greeted in such a warm lovely manner, guessing it was the owner. Not a large choice on offer, about six dishes. Varied from... More

We stopped here for lunch recently and had a wonderful meal. We were welcomed by the friendly owners who discussed the menu with us. There is the choice of sitting inside or on the balcony surrounded by a lovely garden. I had a wonderful Chicken Risotto, which I would recommend. It would make a perfect venue for a wedding or... Dropped into cafe as passing by. Encountered extremely busy day with all tables full or booked. Cafe staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Found us a delightful spot in the sunshine, where we thoroughly enjoyed a few wines and a pâté plate. Wonderful ambience combined with friendly relaxing atmosphere. Lovely way to spend an afternoon!

We ate at this little cafe/restaurant on the Monday of the long weekend it seats about 40 people inside and out and it was busy. The menu is on a communal blackboard that each waitress takes from table to table!! Honestly how hard would it be to laminate 20 menu's. we had to wait about 20 minutes to see the... More

Despite having already eaten we saw the sign for the River's Edge on our way to catch the Spirit of Tasmania and having some time to kill doubled back to check it out. We are SO glad we did! What a find- and one of the highlights of our fantastic Tasmanian holiday. The setting is sublime, the food lovely and the... More

So glad we took the punt and cycled an extra few kms out of Longford for lunch at this beautiful cafe on a cycle to Launceston. We were greeted warmly by the lovely owner and our tummies began grumbling when we read the tasty menu! The food was delicious - perfectly cooked salmon with a fantastic fresh yummy salad. And...
