I thought we would give this new management a go but am very disappointed. Most of the dishes were mainly cauliflower and broccoli. The prices are very high as well. $21.00 for King prawns and veg consisted of 6 med prawns (still with the veins in, so gritty) and the rest was cauli and broccoli. Tasteless and expensive.

Changed hands a while ago. Gave it 3 tries. Each time its gotten worse. Final straw was frozen fish fillets in sweet n sour fish. I complained and they acted like they didn't understand English. Never again.

We frequently get takeaway from Sky King to eat at home, it's a much healthier alternative to other "fast food" joints. I've found that there is a great variety of dishes for all tastes. We always get the dishes with vegetables, they are delicious. Sliced fish in ginger and shallot with vegetables is my favorite. They also make amazing spicy... More

Hearing it had changed hands we felt we should try the new style Sky King.. Nothing fancy, but every dish was tasty, the servings were reasonably sized and the plates were heated ( a big tick as it is something many restaurants neglect) $3.50 a head for Chinese tea seemed steep so we stuck to water -guess it's the lack... Used to love this place and it hadn't hit the mark for a while on its service & food. New owners in town and the difference in the food was amazing. Same menu's but a whole new look and thankfully some nice tastes coming out of the dishes. My partner had the crunchy lemon chicken and it was beautifully presented... More

Step back to a pretend Aussie/Chinese restaurant of 1980. The interior design was a joke. The atmosphere was nonexistent. The food....had no flavour at all, was full of oil, lacking in ingredients, no aroma, bland and unforgiving. I truly believe our food had been taken from the fridge and heated in the microwave. No one at our table would eat... More

No worth the wait, after making a phone order over the phone the young girl advised me it would be half an hour until it was ready. Getting there on time, I then had to sit there and wait for an extra 50 minutes before I go my meal. While waiting I had to sit there with other unhappy customers... More

We chose this place for takeout on the basis of the reviews here. I have to say I could not disagree more about the food, other than the biggish serving size. Small pieces of deep fried squid buried in poorly cooked oily batter, grey looking beef with bland sauce and the saddest looking chicken satay skewers I have seen. I... More

Went to sky king on the recommendation of others. Food was a bit pricier than first imagined ($18-28 per main)but that maybe standard in Tas- yet to find out. Service was definitely warm, friendly and quick. Food was fresh, well cooked. I found my meal a little bland but I like big flavours. Good serving size and overall not bad.... More
