Great service, delicious and fresh fish, unpretentious cafe atmosphere. The platter for two was great value for the quality.

I don't visit as often as I'd like to due to the location (I tend to stick to places right in town)... but have definitely had very good experiences here with hot, fresh food, friendly staff, and great service.

A crisp, clean setting, enhanced by views of the sea across the road. Bills itself as a seafood cafe - that works. Communicates a commitment to quality. A varied, fishy menu - plenty of choice, including Veg on the Edge - a burger for vegetarians, and enjoyed by my vegetarian partner. Friendly and flexible staff open to requests to tweak... More

A good place to go for fish & chips; friendly staff & good service. (They also make delicious salmon cakes, an easy tea with a salad for days when I don't feel like cooking!) And I ALWAYS have a yummy gelato served in a crunchy cone for afters! As Gai R commented, the flathead is delicious, easily the nicest fish... More

We had seafood basket for two which was nice but $45. Would I go back? Probably, for a coffee and snack but not for lunch. Needs some music playing for atmosphere.

Thank you for your review. Just need to clarify that we only ever use locally sourced seafood in our café. I passionately believe in sourcing the best quality seafood our region has to offer. Fresh local seafood is expensive compared to inferior quality imported fish. I believe $45.50 for a generous platter for 2 of local Tasmanian delicacies is reasonable. More

Our favourite FRESH FISH dish is the value packed Platter for TWO which we enjoyed for lunch today. Presentation is second to none, nice and hot, tremendous mix of fish, chips and salad to satisfy the most discerning diner. A top favourite with consistency is why we keep coming back to Fish on the Edge at Wivenhoe, Burnie

This is a favourite place of ours, we always order the seafood platter with coconut prawns, thai fish cakes, calamari, scallops, flake, sweet chilli prawn kebabs, chips and salad, phew so much to eat for $45, definitely value for money and would thoroughly recommend.
