Position, position, position here! Food is quite nice but I wouldn't rave about it. Cakes are lovely. Service was fine and friendly. Great spot after hiking and always lovely and warm by the fire. Average prices and average food but fabulous, affordable ambiance whilst visiting the mountains.

Nice views but they were very busy and appeared understaffed for school holidays crowds - tables not cleared, slow service.

At one point during Sunday lunch, I became convinced that I must have committed some great injustice to our server at some point in time before having had the audacity to come into her restaurant and sit in her section. In hindsight, the rudeness and contempt I was met with at the door would turn out to be the high... More

Good Afternoon, how are you? A greeting which is non-existent at this cafe! We visited this cafe for the 4th time last week. The staff were rude and were obviously having a bad day. We waited at the counter for 5 mins to be seated while 3 staff members walked past us and ignored us. It took them 15mins before... More

Clearly the staff were having a bad day, but their rudeness had us walking out. Luckily, we found the local patisserie.

We have thoroughly enjoyed two visits to the Conservation Hut this vacation and hope we can squeeze in at least another. The meals are delicious and the staff are efficient. The view fabulous. A meal, whether it is breakfast, lunch, morning or afternoon tea, is a real treat. I recommend you make a reservation as it is popular. In winter,... More

This is simply a superb location for a cafe. It sits at the track head atop the Valley of the Waters and the view is wonderful. Fortunately, it's not just the outlook that's a high standard, but the food and service are very good, too. The menu provides for a good range of tastes and caters for gluten free and... More

After 2 hours of bushwalking, we ended up here. It was still busy as the lunch crowd has not left. Getting a table was pretty quick, getting service was not as quick. Ordered pecan pie (my first few choices were sold out at 2pm) and coffee. It tasted OK although it is a bit more expensive than I would normally... More

This res is definitely not cheap. However, the view, quality of food, taste of the coffee and chocolate, service, are not as bad as what previous reviews said. We'd choose outdoor area if the weather is not that cold. Recommend to you if you want a different experience in a trip.

Visited with family from Victoria and Hong Kong over Easter. Only one scone left at 4pm! Open until 6pm. Who is estimating goods required? Iced coffee mainly cream. Chefs who came out of the kitchen looked dirty. Those trousers looked as if they were not cleaned for some time. Does not indicate a clean kitchen. Service staff quite pleasant and... More
