Stopped in for lunch with the family and returned later for a dinner concert. The food is delicious and comes with excellent service. Every staff member greeted you with a smile. Several staff work with you during your service from hostess, beverage staff, waitress, dessert staff, cashier. Very commendable in my book. Clean, eye catching setting. Much to do around... More

We rode here on our motorcycle from Cleveland. Beautiful ride down, lovely scenery. Food was good but not fantastic. Good value with the portion sizes. Service was very good and efficient. Lots to look at.....and lots of overpriced items. Nice place to while away an afternoon but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again. Felt very... More

I recently at at Hartville Kitchen with my mom and dad. The place is huge but they do a great job serving large groups. Seniors come by the bus load. Food is OK. People are nice. VERY CLEAN!

Had a great memory of this place from the local celery swamps to standing in line for some fantastic Amish style home cooking. Well that is gone! if you are looking for some corporate sell out and normal food and some overpriced market items please go. Things change all he time but but for the good sometimes. .

The food and service is still good but now so commercialized. Very much with the tourist in mind. Terrific parking and buses were out of the way until their groups leave. Made a traffic jam in the entry way of the restaurant.

Hartville Kitchen is one of the best family restaurants around. It's very large so if you see a long line, don't worry, the most I've ever waited was about 10-15 minutes tops. The service is great, food is all home-cooked, even the mashed potatoes. I absolutely love the fried chicken which is not greasy at all. Their pies are delicious... More

Have eaten here more times than I can count since the 70's. While not as quaint as it used to be since it went mainstream and added so much touristy "stuff," they still have good basic homestyle food, good selection, great dinner rolls, and efficient service. If you're in the area and yearning for meat, potatoes, veggies, salad, and pie,... More

Tried the lunch special, Swiss steak, with mashed potatoes and green beans. The meat was dry although covered with gravy. The obviously canned green beans were mushy. The potatoes were okay.

We stopped here with our 9 month old. Service was very good until we were passed off to our dessert person who took forever to finally show up. The food seemed home cooked and was hot served to us. It seems like a tourest trap. Lots of junk sold outside of restaurant.

Hartville Kitchen serves boatloads of people every day except Sunday. There's no bar as Hartville is dry. The food is your basic Amish-like cooking which reminds me of overcooked nursing home food. It's served by hard working people who keep your coffee cup filled. You sometimes have to wait in very long lines before you get seated. Many people think... More
