Has to be the "MOST OVER RATED" eatery I have ever been to. I've lived less than 3 miles from there for 36 years and have only eaten there 6 times! Three were my choice - 3 were special occasions. However, I must say their massive parking lot is usually full and it's not unusual to see 2 or 3 buses... More

We have been to Hartville Kitchen many times. The Wait Staff is wonderful and very attentive to your needs. The food is good or we wouldn't have came back. It is worth stopping if you are in the mood for a country atmosphere and don't want to drive to Walnut Creek/Berlin area. Saturday afternoon, 03/08/14, we witnessed a very unexpected... More

This place can be a wait sometimes but we lucked out and got quick service . The food was generally good but not fantastic , however the entire pie we took home was excellent. Wife had chicken w/fries, me the Angus chopped steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. Had sweet potato casserole which was actually the best part of my... More

It started out many years ago as a small business, and it grew to the large restaurant it is today. Always have made homemade meals and homemade pies.

Be advised that if you are coming here out of a sense of nostalgia you're better off just hanging on to your memories. Long ago, there WAS an Amish run kitchen in Hartville that smelled wonderful, had folks out baking where you could see them and was just pretty danged quaint in every respect. Apparently, this place became so popular... More

They refuse to seat you until everyone in your party has arrived. We had 35 people and they were able to accommodate us all at one table but the hostess was a bit snippy about everyone being there first. The food is really home cooked and served reasonably quick. The menus are on the placemats and they do have a... More

We had not been to this restaurant in two years. What a disappointment! We waited in line for an hour, which would have been acceptable if the food were good. It was not. Certainly, they were busy but that is not excuse for an unfriendly sever and mediocre food. The salad was soggy, the bland chicken dry and the baked... More

If you are looking for lackluster food, this is the place for you. Despite what it says on the menu, things are NOT homemade -- and if they are, that is one sad household. Other than the chicken -- which we will agree is totally delicious -- the remainder of the meal was out of a can. The mashed potatoes... More

We went to visit this location after our day at the Hartville Flee Market since it was so close. There was a really long line to get our seats but management made sure the line was kept orderly and that it was always moving. We did not wait much longer than 20 minutes when we went on Saturday around 12:30pm.... More
