Well if you fondly remember garlic prawns swimming in butter and slow cooked confit of duck this is your kind of place - with appropriately selected range of Cabernet, Shiraz and whites this is a great step back in time to what I remember from my adolescence and the Sydney restaurant scene in the 1970s. Definitely worth booking a table... More

Service and ambience great. Ordered the snapper and it was overcooked and dry and the thick sauce did not complement the fish. Others ordered meat dishes and their meals were good. As usual best to order the fish when you are closer to the coast.

Warm night & noisy inside so asked to sit in courtyard. Not an issue but table had to be set etc & on close inspection courtyard, although quaint, needed love - mower, blower vac etc placed around rather than put away somewhere. Service friendly - a bit like visiting family friend that you don't know at all well. Wine list... More

We love eating here as the food is always delicious and is a class above anywhere else in town. There are plenty of great pubs in Gunnedah but the food, service and atmosphere here is in a class of its own. Their dumplings are amazing.

This restaurant is like getting a surprise that was looking at you the whole time. I went here to celebrate a birthday with friends who were turning 50. Not only did we receive a beautiful entree, main and desert, the wine was impeccable along with the food. I was left wanting to try my partners meal also as it looked... More

I was in Gunnedah for business and chose this restaurant as I am not a fan of 'pub feeds'. I was very happy with my meal (peppered steak) it was cooked beautifully. It was a very cold night in Gunnedah, the restaurant was warm, the plates were warmed also. The restaurant was very busy that night and only had one... More

I re-visited this restuarant on a business trip to Gunnedah. It is good with a wide menu choice and wine list. For starters I had the garlic bread and green salad. For main, the pepper fillet, and the ice cream with rasberries for dessert. A bottle of Rothbury Estate Shiraz Cabernet went well. A plesant meal, though the fillet was... More

Very tasty and over and above service from the friendly staff. The food was well priced and I even bought a bottle of wine. One stop shop

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Food was delicious. We both had Beef Filet Mignon. Very generous serving. This is the best fine dining restaurant in Gunnedah.
