Back here again, for yet another Brilliant meal. This time Ashcrofts had a new Winter menu and have moved away from the set menu format. They now have a full a la carte menu. My entrée was a carpaccio of octopus, crispy slow braised baby octopus, squid ink mayonnaise and more. My main was oak smoked eye fillet of Kanimbla... More

A rainy Sunday in the Blue Mountains equates to a perfect excuse for a long lunch (repeat this matra three times and observe how quickly your entire perspective on life takes a profound turn for the better). OK, I guess the thing that really stands out here at Ashcrofts is that the new team has made a very clear, very... More

my husband and I visited the Blue Mountains for the frst time this week end ans stayed not too far from Blackheath. after a quick internet search, we set our choice on Ashcrofts and were so happily surprised by this restaurant: not only adorable Csilla and enthusiastic chef Adrian welcome you in a sincerely great environment, but the food is... Ashcrofts is the reason we stay in Blackheath, rather than the more usual Leura or Katoomba, when in the Blue Mountains. It's long rivalled the best of Sydney restaurants for quality and service. This was our first visit since the restaurant changed hands, so we went with more than a little trepidation, as Mary-Jane and Corrine set a very high... More

This restaurant has been consistently good for some time now, but Chef Adrian Hunt and his charming wife Csilla have made Ashcrofts a dining must for the mountains. The presentation and quality of the food is second to none! We have already booked a return visit in November... Booking our accommodation afterwards, just so we can return for another glorious... We had a private wedding ceremony and decided on our local restaurant, Ashcrofts for our wedding reception. We contacted the restaurant and told them we were planning to marry and would like to have a table for four that evening to celebrate our wedding. On arrival the table was set so elegantly for four, was a private wedding so didn't... More

Warm welcome, friendly staff and super cosy for a cold winters night. Three of us dined at this Restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. My friend Mark is a regular. Attention to detail included a warm bread roll whilst waiting for our Entree. Entree of Octopus was superb. I am not normally an Entree person but this was delicious. Main... More

Had a tremendous meal at Ashcrofts, and Adrian and Csilla have grown in confidence since taking over from the previous owners. The meal started off with an amuse bouche (lightly smoked cauliflower veloute with truffle oil) which was delicious. The mains were excellent, complicated with several components - and the biggest surprise of all, the deserts were simply scrumptious and... More
