Here is the good news: nothing much has changed at Ashcrofts. After what must have seemed like half a lifetime, host Mary Jane and chef Corinne sold out of this Blackheath landmark late last year, handing the apron strings to a young couple with seemingly great ambitions: Adrian and Csilla. Cleverly, the new owners have kept the minimalist decor, the... More

I have nothing but praise for Ashcrofts. My whole experience was amazing. The wait staff were so friendly and helpful and the chef nothing short of genius. The flavours and combinations of the food left me wanting more. I cannot wait to go back.

The food was so innovative and excellent that we went there 2 days in a row during our stay so that we can try other meals on the menu. The young but experienced new owners were delightful to discuss with. The combination of savours and textures was amazing and the choice of wines very good

We've been regular's at this restaurant for many years. We were devastated to hear the previous owners were moving on. So, we booked to see how the new owners were fairing. I'm delighted to say it's just wonderful and I wholeheartedly recommend locals or tourists who are looking for a special meal to this restaurant. The food was brilliant. We... More

The menu and food were amazing. However the service definitely didn't match. The waiter told us he didnt know the food or wine menu, which was evident over the rest of the evening. We ordered wine by the glass, and each time the size varied wildly, plates sat empty on the table for over 10 minutes, and overall was missing... More

New owners have taken over and that for us is a great shame as to what was a wonderful restaurant where the previous owners gave their soul to make your experience as best as you could get. The food with the new chef was good but the inexperience of the new waiter and the absolute lack of service by her... More

Lucked out on a great lunch in the mountains. Staying in Leura for the weekend and several people said you MUST go to Ashcrofts. They were not wrong. A new partnership of just a month, with amazing blue mountain born but London (French trained) chef Adrian. Sensational local beef eye filet cooked to perfection with sides of potato gratin not... I was taken here once for my birthday. I had heard a lot of great things about the food and it didn't disappoint. The food was very good, top 10 Australia on my list. Unique dishes and a good variety. You will need to book in advance as it is very popular. I am not totally fussed on the atmosphere... More

We were recommended to try his restaurant on a recent visit to the Blue mountains of NSW and was so glad we went. We have had many local menus and whilst it was unusual that the chef chose what we ate out of the two menus, we were not disappointed. Each course was unique and we got to try things... More

We 6 had a beautiful Sunday lunch at Ashcrofts yesterday, an annual treat for our parents. This lovely restaurant is consistently good. The food is imaginative and delicious; the wine list is really thoughtful (try the Elephant Hill Viognier with anything); and of course the service is warm and unobtrusive. This is the place to go in the Blue Mountains... More
