The food was delicious. We had 3 courses and wine. Also warm atmosphere on a cold evening. We'll definitely be back.

wnat a surprise, this was our first visit to Ashcrofts and it won't be our last. The service was excellent, I love to be made so welcome in a restaurant. The food was the surprise, every course a taste sensation. I could have spent all night dipping the chefs home made bread into the basil infused Virgin olive oil and... More

We were regulars at Ashcrofts under the previos owners, who had a well deserved reputation for excellence (including awards of restaurant hats). We dined in the early days, when these new owners took over and found some problems with service. We can say from our recent visit that the Ashcrofts' tradition is alive and well. Service was flawless and the... More

The quality of the food at this fine dining restaurant was amazing. The complimentary amuse bouche (cauliflower with truffle soup) set the scene and wet the palette. I am not a food critic and won't even try - all I can say is that my husband and I absolutely enjoyed every mouthful. The menu is not extensive but is well... More

Unfortunately, the main was a disaster and over priced. The service was nice and friendly but you go to a restaurant to eat not socialise.

Back here again, for yet another Brilliant meal. This time Ashcrofts had a new Winter menu and have moved away from the set menu format. They now have a full a la carte menu. My entrée was a carpaccio of octopus, crispy slow braised baby octopus, squid ink mayonnaise and more. My main was oak smoked eye fillet of Kanimbla... More

A rainy Sunday in the Blue Mountains equates to a perfect excuse for a long lunch (repeat this matra three times and observe how quickly your entire perspective on life takes a profound turn for the better). OK, I guess the thing that really stands out here at Ashcrofts is that the new team has made a very clear, very... More

my husband and I visited the Blue Mountains for the frst time this week end ans stayed not too far from Blackheath. after a quick internet search, we set our choice on Ashcrofts and were so happily surprised by this restaurant: not only adorable Csilla and enthusiastic chef Adrian welcome you in a sincerely great environment, but the food is... Ashcrofts is the reason we stay in Blackheath, rather than the more usual Leura or Katoomba, when in the Blue Mountains. It's long rivalled the best of Sydney restaurants for quality and service. This was our first visit since the restaurant changed hands, so we went with more than a little trepidation, as Mary-Jane and Corrine set a very high... More
