Great food

One of our favourite Blackheath Cafes. A cozy cafe with great food. The breakfasts are excellent..and even better rhe cafe has a cook who knows how to cook bacon properly. The breakfasts are very generous and delicious. The service is very prompt and not a long wait for your meal. Worth a visit.

Quick lunch in the mountains. Good value great food. Nice and warm out of the cold by the fire. Busy at lunch but quick turn around with all the travelers. Chicken and mushroom pot pie was beautiful

A good spot for breakfast and lunch. Not open at night. Has a fire for those cold winter days. Food is cafe style with generous breakfasts and pies and sandwiches for lunch. Busy but not crowded.

This is a great local cafe with hearty honest food, if a little Sydney priced! This could be amazing cage but it really lacks atmosphere and charm and when busy it becomes very noisy, but hey you are there for the coffee and breakie and then off to see some sights!

Whilst visiting Blackheath, after exploring the Victory Theatre Antique complex, we called in to the Wattle Café for a light lunch. It was quite crowded on the day we visited, and noisy. We were a little disappointed in the food provided, which was pumpkin soup (which was a bit bland), and the chicken burger (which was very light-on in the... More

Stopped for lunch following a breathtaking stop at Evans lookout. We ordered the Soup of the Day, which was Tomato and Basil, it was thick, and full of flavour with toasted sourdough bread. The "son of a club sandwich " was still a large club filled with all the goodies found in the "daddy " club. The salad was crammed... More

Great atmosphere, faces the highway not in the Main Street. We had a steak sandwich, beautiful chips, 2 kids nuggets, chicken club sandwich, Chicken Caesar salad, a serve of chips and drinks for 5. All up its was $95.00. Busy place that turned people over quickly. Staff were friendly. They had a big range of cakes and desserts but we... More

From salads to fish and chips to sandwiches to the flat white coffee...everything was great. The service was great and the wait staff helpful and made really good menu suggestions. This was perhaps our best meal of our 2 weeks in Australia.

We are regulars here at the Wattle and for good reason. The food is fabulous...generous serves, and fantastic quality. The prices are more than reasonable and the staff are friendly and welcoming even during the busiest times! It's a real gem and I would recommend that you "do yourself a favour" and visit The Wattle sometime soon!

Went here to warm up after walking around on a very chilly day in the Blue Mountains. Cafe had a great wood fire burning and after ordering with the wait staff, settled back to enjoy a hearty soup and nice coffee. Parking out front was a breeze, and as it is in the main part of the shopping centre on... More
