Lunch

Staff with poor attitude pointedly looked at clock at 2:30 when we ordered lunch and then charged extra $2.50 per sandwich, for Turkish bread, because they do no keep wholemeal bread. Will never patronise again

My husband and I had lunch at Wattle Cafe. I had the goats cheese tart with a gorgeous rocket salad and my husband had the flathead with chips which was crispy and cooked to perfection. The food was excellent. I had a freshly prepared carrot juice too which was NOT over run with ice. The service was very fast and... More

We found this cafe as we were heading home from the area. We made it just in time for breakfast and were presently surprised by the food. The service was good. We were served in a timely manner etc although the staff were not rude they also weren't very warm. I also think the cafe could do with more cooling... More

Passing through Blackheath en route to Orange, we dropped into the Wattle cafe. Lovely atmosphere, excellent choice of menu, swift, efficient and friendly service. Large portions for the hungry traveller all at very reasonable prices. Definitely an excellent watering hole if you're en route west.

Our group of eight found a big table inside to fit us all. Service was quick and friendly. I had a goat's cheese, apple & walnut salad while my partner had a vegie burger. Both were delicious. One of our group has special dietary needs and the cafe was able to help with this by phoning beforehand. Our group had... More

No, not mine ... it was the fifth anniversary of the present owners. Paul and Leigh took over the Wattle Café five years ago today (19/12/14) ... tansforming it into a friendly, family-orientated café, with delicious food (breakfast and lunch menus) with fresh tasty ingredients, and generous servings. I have been a "regular" since ever and recommend their great coffee,... More

The coffee is excellent and so is the selection of cakes available. Service is fast and friendly. There is a nice selection of base jumping photos on the wall you can admire or buy for those interested. This cafe should not be missed if you are after good coffee.

We stopped by for lunch and had a goats cheese tart and a salad. The food was very well presented, but lacked a bit of flavour and seasoning (which needs to go in at the cooking stage, not just offered by the waitress as happened here) - a bit of a case of style over substance. The coffee was very... More
