Service is great, food is top drawer and the pub is really well appointed. Its situated next to Petworth Park (great for a county walk) and from the outside has good views of the South Downs. The staff are with it and unlike a lot of English pubs that are busy, they don't treat you like they are doing you... More

I had dinner with my daughter. She is vegetarian. I am most definitely not! My steak was cooked to perfection well presented and with a lovely flavour. My daughter's veggie dish was very well presented. The deserts were to die for! All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful

If Carlsberg did country pubs! Absolutely loved this place. Real cosy feel to it and manages to be both welcoming to visitors as well as appearing to have a local following. The garden is stunning with real wood tables, deck chairs and chickens. Well cooked and good value food.

This, together with the beamed ceilings, light period decor and quirky furniture created a welcoming and pleasing atmosphere. Despite arriving at the busiest time for the waiting staff, service was very friendly, attentive and efficient. The menu was full of creative and interesting dishes, many... More
