Lovely.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch on a recommendation from a friend who'd done the same a week previously. No reservations. No problem. The staff were extremely courteous and prompt. My wife's starter was gin&tonic salmon which she adored. I had risotto (lovely but a bit salty) followed by the... read more

I thought that the ambiance and front of house worked very well. there is also a good wine list. The only slip up (and it was a small one) was to ask us how it was for us about 30 seconds after serving our mains and she realised the problem immediately. The kitchen isn't as good. Why on earth add... More

Looking for a relaxing lunchtime experience with a homely feeling. The Leconfield is all that and more. The staff greeting feels genuine, the seating and modern gastronomic surroundings all complement each other. Sticking with the set meal looked a difficult and brief choice, the quality though was outstanding and we all enjoyed our varied choices. Not rushed and enough time... More

We visited this restaurant just before Christmas as our Christmas company celebration. We had heard good things about it prior to our arrival, so with anticipation sat down to order. Firstly our starters. First impressions? Small - 4 mouthfuls at most? Okay, so we got some bread in a bag - as per a previous review - what's that all... More

For the last 2 years Richard Luna ,his trained team and the Chef TAF have done a fantastic job in all areas. There is a saying ; IF ITS NOT BROKE THEN DON FIX IT! Richard, as with all Latin Maitre d" bring that total and complete understanding of what dining out should be---and it was just about perfect. From... More

Dear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant, although the review was not a positive read for us, we understand that this forum is a good place for you to vent your obvious anger. That’s quite a lot of exclamation marks. Having read your review several times, I am still not quite sure what has upset... More

Being a local I have supported the Leconfield since it opened. Every time I go there I vow never to return. I return since the staff are continually excellent and I hear "how it has changed". What hasn't changed is the silly prices for morsels. The tastes and ideas are superb but 20 or so pounds for 4 mouthfuls just... More

Dear Sir, We always hope that our local clientele will support us and continue to do so through the inevitable changes that all hospitality venues undergo. However, we all believe that our recent kitchen and front of house changes have improved our offering, service and food knowledge in the restaurant to a huge degree. I am also pleased to have... We celebrated my wife's birthday at the restaurant. We were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our table. Menu was interesting as was the wine list. I enjoyed the sea bass, but my wife's Herdwick lamb was disappointing - if one is going to use belly it must be cooked to perfection, and this was not. The London prices... More

We've eaten twice at The Leconfield in the last few weeks, both very different occasions, both very much enjoyed. We first went for a mid-week, grown-up birthday dinner just two days after the new chef had started. Although not full the atmosphere, food and service were very good. More recently, our plans changed at the last minute after not being... More

I seem to manage to book the Leconfield when there is always some big event on nearby, this time it was the Goodwood Revival, last time the Petworth Christmas Fair. We always eat early and this was very fortunate on this occasion. The new Chef is brilliant and had only been there about 3 weeks when we visited. I had... More
