First visit to the Bailiffscourt restaurant as part of a spa package (birthday treat). The positive aspects of the evening was the delightful welcome we received from the young man who greeted us at the spa. He could not have been nicer - so helpful and charming. The pools are lovely and the treatments were nice too - friendly masseuse.... More

The comedian of a maître d' was rude, unhelpful, aggressive and totally obnoxious. We were really upset. We are not going back there again! My food was awful.

We went to Bailiffscourt for lunch on Friday last week. Hot and sunny so we decided to eat out in the Rose Garden. Went for a fish starter and main course and was not disappointed. Service was good considering that they had some trainee staff working who were being shadowed by more experienced waiters and waitresses. Polite, considerate and as... More

Friendly greeting on arrival and taken to one of a number of individual areas for pre-dinner drinks. Maître D' came to take our order, a delightful Frenchman wearing a kilt which gave rise to much discussion with him - a great way to start an evening. Interesting and comprehensive menu. Bailiffscourt has the atmosphere of an ancient building brought up... More

Three of us went for Sunday lunch. Nice welcome from the maitre'd who remembered us from previous visits. Good choice of starters, all had delicious roast beef with good range of veg, two of us had superb bread and butter pudding while the other had a rather salty Breton shortbread. Overall a very enjoyable treat.

A group of ladies enjoyed a good lunch in the wonderful ambiance of Baillifscourt. I have been coming here for several years and love the comfortable, cosy surroundings in the numerous lounges. Service is friendly and unobtrusive - no sense of urgency or pressure, just charm and courtesy. We dined on the set menu which had three good options for... More

We booked Sunday lunch for the family to celebrate out daughter`s 40th birthday. There were six adults and four young children - two of which are celiacs. The welcome and service provided by staff was excellent - a cosy lounge had also been reserved for pre-dinner drinks - a very welcome touch - crayons and paper also provided for the... More

We popped in to Bailiffs Court with no booking on a Friday in September. The food was really very good, the service excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. So much so that we went again last week with friends for Sunday lunch. It was very poor and we were embarrassed to have dragged our friends a fair way for... More

This medieval style place was created in the first quarter of the 20th century. However, everything around you has been kept to the original style in minute detail. Once you enter the premises , you are enveloped in the Elizabetan era. You are welcomed by several sets of people. You sit in an enormously comfortable sofa, while ordering your food.... More

Lovely 3 course dinner at £49.50 pp Wonderful breakfast at £23pp Bar drinks were disappointedly expensive which was a great shame as you felt you were being ripped off. Service was really good but be prepared for the bill. Beautiful setting for a special occasion.
