A Marked Improvement On Our Last Visit!

With the exception of our last dining experience here, we have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals - as we did yesterday. Again, we visited at lunch time and with my husband choosing the nut roast from the £6 bistro menu (he's not a vegetarian but always enjoys this meal); my son chose the scampi... read more

Fish was as good as I've had anywhere. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Real little gem just wish we lived nearer! Would strongly recommend to fish lovers everywhere, although there is lots of choice for canivores too. Being from the noth of the country I never thought I would taste fish and chips as good as at Whitby but this... More

My husband (who is a Coeliac) and I had an excellent visit to this restaurant. The lady who seated us was very knowledgeable about the menu, and the cross-contamination procedures that they have in place. The choice and variety of fish, as well as the option to have them fried, steamed or grilled means you can have your meal exactly... More

It is a few years since I have been here. Half full, service quick but not rushed. Portions large, fish was very fresh and well cooked, the chips were perfect crispy outside fluffy centres. Price very fair, good wine list. Will use again next time down later in the year

Can't fault the Fish Factory! The food and atmosphere were excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. The portion size is very generous. I had whitebait for a starter it was the best I've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this place.

My wife & I lunched here on 22nd July 2015. We had grilled plaice (you can have it cooked how you like) with mashed potato (£9.10), mushy peas (£1.50) and mixed seasonal veg. (£2.50). I added a jug of parsley sauce (£1.00). Any of these extras could have been shared between us, as the portions were generous. It was delicious.... More

Visit here a few times a year to take advantage of the cheap lunch menu. OMG! their mussels are delicious, but my all time favorite is the fish factory butty - fish gougons in a floury bap with tar-tare sauce and a huge portion of fish shop chips. Delish! The service is always very good. Polite and friendly staff, where... More

Great place to eat, I just wish they could solve the problem of the noise when the Restaurant is only a quarter full it still hurts your ear drums, especially if there are small groups of cackling people. The Fish Pie is excellent and very rich, my Rock Salmon/Huss was a bit small in portion, chips were just OK and... More
