Dined with some long term friends last Friday and have to say one of the worse meal ever. From start the service was poor with one waiter struggling to cope with too many tables. Food was very poor, cold, burn't and unappetising. Not one of the six of us enjoyed their meal. The dessert sold as Eton Mess was certainly... More

I ordered the chicken burger and when it arrived it was rock hard and inedible. I brought it to the attention of the waitress who refused to take it back as the chef would get angry! The manager came over and also said it "looked" ok, without actually touching it. I was in disbelief at this. I told the manager... More

Had dinner at the Sergison Arms on Saturday as we were craving fish and chips. The piece of cod that came was the think end of the loin and it was very nice. Only thing was the mushy peas were not quite hot, more like tepid. It has been hit and miss here for some over the past year or... More

Such a nice venue but once again the food lets it down. The Garlic bread sharer starter was a palid undercooked doughy lump with cheesey sludge on top. We always order safely at vintage inns, you can't go too wrong with chips and gammon/pie. So wish Vintage Inns would sort the food quality out. Would come again but only for... More

We visited on a Friday evening with friends and left extremely disappointed . Two of the mains were substandard, a fish pie that seemed to lack fish and a broad bean and feta burger that lacked both. When bought to the attention of the staff the manager attended our table to explain that it was not their fault but the... More

Met here for Sunday lunch with family. Two of us chose Herb crusted loin of pork & one Roast Turkey. The pork was actually baked ham although they insisted it was loin of pork. We know what loin of pork tastes & looks like, & it definitely wasn't. The turkey did look & taste like turkey but very doubtful it... More

Absolute crap, spicy calamari had no spice and was served on two lettuce leaves; beer battered mushrooms with garlic mayo = 5x 1/2 mushrooms with tasteless mayo also served on two lettuce leaves. We then waited 3/4 hr for our mains to arrive and they were not busy. Bobs meal was almost cold, peas shrivelled up, gammon tough and fried... More

We visit the Sergison Arms recently and were so disappointed. The menu was extremely limited and you could only get sandwiches or rolls made with wholemeal bread. Going out is for pleasure and you want choice, I already control my nutritional needs at home. This actually meant that as I wanted a snack there was nothing on the menu for... More

Lovely atmosphere but food small on portion size and high on price for what it is. Nevertheless - what is served is tasty and well presented. Outside seating area is quite near the road and is therefore a little noisy - not aware of any grassed area available away from the road.
