Came here for a family meal, as the Harvester up the road was closed and to be honest, wished we hadn't. We were asked if we had booked, which we hadn't and were shown to the last "free" table, despite the restaurant being half empty. We ordered some drinks and were shown the menu. After 20 minutes, the drinks hadn't... More

Went here for lunch today. Despite there obviously being plenty of empty tables we were asked to go to the bar while a table was prepared. We ordered drinks and sat down in the bar. Some time later we asked about our table and were told it still wasn't ready although it was obvious that there were a number of... More

Popped into this Vintage Inn for lunch, first time we have visited and it was nice inside, busy (a good sign), we were greeted by friendly staff and seated with menu's, ordered drinks and our main course which duly arrived in reasonable time, hubby had belly pork and I opted for the fish pie - both meals were very nice... We came here for a chilled 50th birthday meal with family in October last year. All in all, everything was 'just okay' Service was really quite slow. The waitress did mention they had a new electronic system in place to take orders, it didn't seem like the staff had proper training on how to use them efficiently though. The time... More

where to start? Well, we used to come here when it was the Dolphin and enjoyed many delicious meals, so thought we would give it a try (only because the Harvester down the road was closed for a refit). oh dear what a mistake. on our arrival we walked down the stairs towards the bar and both turned around and... I had high hopes for this pub as its my local, but the problem is I am consistently disappointed - the food and the menu is good, as are the beers and ciders on offer, but the service sucks!! We arrived at 7:30 for dinner and didn't get out till 10pm - I don't think this has anything to do... More

I loved this place to start with, it quickly became mine and my partners favorite place to eat out! There was a lovely foreign guy that worked there that was very chatty and kind. The last few times we've been the food has been poor, the wait for the food is even worse. And the awful lady we had serve... More

It's a Vintage Inn pub. The pub is lovely inside although the food is a let down. I ordered pie and got a crust with 3 pieces of beef - not very filling and cost £12! Hmm, good for a drink but not food.

Very disappointing. Service slow even though the pub was in no way busy. People standing by the door waiting to be allocated a table were ignored for too long. A Chinese couple seemed bemused by it all and I think were just about to depart when thankfully someone acknowledged their presence. I felt ashamed at the British sense of hospitality..... More
