Nice food

Stopped at the travel lodge nearby and this pub was the only one nearby! The staff were friendly and quite chatty and quite funny. ( they were singing songs from adverts to each other at one point). The food was good. I had low expectations for the food as it is a pub chain but was pleasantly... read more

We had not tried this Vintage Inn, but had tried The Oystercatcher at Climping which had many problems, have left a review under the heading "What's gone wrong". This was completely the opposite, ok it was a quite Wenesday lunchtime, but what a difference. The staff were attentive, the food served without delay, and was hot and of an excellent... More

I had the 'pleasure' in spending a night at a nearby Travelodge. Usually, when staying at a cheap hotel with in a service station, the choices for dinner are limited to a couple of burger chains. If there is a pub next to the hotel, it's normally another chain, with average food in offer. So, I was delighted to find... More

We have visited before and loved the food and last night we were as impressed as our first visit. Staff very friendly and food amazing. Courses weren't rushed which is how I like it. Time between courses to sit and chat. Pub very cosy, open fire and comfortable seats, overall we felt very relaxed. Will be back again soon.

Went there on a Wednesday lunchtime and we were the the only 2 eating. We had the Hunters chicken and a Burger, both were brought out promptly and were hot and tasty. However the staff were all sitting down chatting aloud as one of them also ate their lunch. Would return but needs more of an atmosphere as I dont... More

We have eaten here many times and our recent visit was again really good. The staff are very friendly and as we had a new mum and baby with us we wanted a discrete table for baby feeding. This was given to us and we enjoyed a lovely meal with attentive staff. The food is very good value for a... More

,Went for family lunch and so disappointed. No welcome - no greeting just totally ignored. Stood at bar 10 mins still nobody acknowledged us so interrupted lady serving to ask were our booked table was as our 90 year old mother needed to sit down. She pointed to the back room and we were left to find our table. We... More
