Consistently good

Coffee, cake and ice creams. On a hot day that's all you need and the lobster pot delivers time and again. Always busy but always friendly too. Nearly forgot to mention the lovely view. Well done

I love it here. The food is really good and the location is fab. It's hard to get a table though and on busy days the service can be a bit slow. If you're not in a rush it's great.

Love this place - great food and service - we cycle here and love the treat at the end - Falafel burger one of my favourites and ham, egg and chips my husbands - my son loves the chorizo sandwich

I have been here many times, sometimes for lunch, sometimes just for tea/coffee. You can sit inside or outside depending on the weather. It is always busy but you can usually get seats no problem. Dogs welcome outside.

The location of The Lobster Pot is fantastic - right on the beach ... it's a bit set back so out of the wind, but is great. We stopped off for breakfast and while the food was great (and reasonably priced), the queue to order etc was mad - though it shows how popular it is. The outdoor seating is... More

So we arrived at the Lobster pot for Breakfast at 0925. Lush clear hot morning it felt like we was in coastal Spain. Two big breakfasts ordered. With well done bacon and sausage. And 2 extra toast. With two large lattes. Dogs are welcome here which is novel. The first table we choose the owners left us a small surprise... More

Came upon this place by chance in the late afternoon as they were putting half a lobster, chips and salad on their specials board, so my wife and I had one each, with a (generous) glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The lobster came with some crayfish and was excellent value and thoroughly delicious. The staff were very friendly and, it being... More

A short walk down the prom from my Mothers house this place amazes me. Even on nasty days hoildaymakers and locals anoraks zipped to the chin, hats pulled low, huddle together and enjoy a pot of tea, cup of coffee or full bore meal outside next to the prom, looking at the sea and passers by. The reason is that... More

This place was a real find for us. Fresh lobster and crab with a decent bottle of wine for less than £25 each . We sat on the edge of the beach and the food really was fantastic. The service was good and we realised you needed to book or get in there early as this was a very popular... More

The food is extremely well cooked. The staff are very pleasant and polite, which cannot be easy when they are subjected to irritable holiday makers. Service is very slow, but this is due to three features : the place is very popular, everything is freshly cooked; there appear to be insufficient kitchen staff/chefs, whilst there are many waitresses. Drinks are... More
