The beer was great but the food was disapointing. The special board had some good options, unfortunatley I did'nt pick one. The rare roast beef platter was disappointing and bland. Staff at the pub were helpful and pleasant

We went here as the local Thai restaurant was fully booked. Atmosphere was good, but, the food was very disappointing. The food had obviously been under a warming lamp for some time! Peas were very shrivelled, onion rings were burnt, & the steak was very fatty. The staff were friendly & helpful when we had to ask for steak knives!... More

We had a drink here prior to visiting an indian restaurant and the staff were very friendly. The menu looked like your average pub food menu and the drinks were fairly priced. It had a traditional pub feel about it and most of the other people seemed to know each other so it's obviously popular with the locals. Dogs are... More

The goulash with mashed potatoes tonight was to die for. I eat here regularly and can't recommend the food too highly.

We were struck by the attractive exterior of The Horseshoe Inn as we walked into Town; warm, creamy plaster criss-crossed by blackend wooden beams & we resolved to visit it later. Was not disappointed by the interior, a big, cosy bar for drinkers ( & eating, if you wish ) & another big bar for dining & drinking. Both have... More

Excellent and helpful staff, good beer, cider wine along with a small but good menu and excellent food which is all you need from a pub.

After walking up and down looking for a place to eat we came across the Horse Shoe greeted with a warm welcome and Doombar on draught result! Both had Steak cooked to perfection and the Stilton cheese sauce was awesome! Lovely meal

Came upon this when looking for somewhere to eat. Service was fast and friendly, food was good, and was good value for money.

what a little find, fab food, choice of drinks, a real pub. No tv or music ,friendly bar staff(let us try a beer we had never heard of) and invited us back the next evening to join in the free Quiz. even added a couple of Yorkshire based questions for us.

A quaint place, worth a visit. The George another pub in the village gets good reviews, but we thought we would try this pub. They had some local beers on tap which is always a good sign and simple but nice British style food. Highly recommended was the rabbit pie, fish cakes and local ale. The service was friendly and...
