few friends met for dinner and drinks, cocktail bar is nice venue to either start or finish the evening (although its hits and miss if the cocktail is worth the price!), food always appears to be well presented, steaks are always excellent, easily the best in the area). One down point, as a large group they always tend to run... More

Went with my friend for a 40th birthday celebration and Café Vin Cinq did not let us down. We were about to order a glass of champers each when two were delivered to our table without even asking! We were left speechless, very rare, but in a nice way! Food was also beautifully cooked and presented, and despite the fact... More

We visited last Saturday night after being let down by terrible service at a restaurant a few meters away, it was 9:30pm, we hadn't booked and the restaurant was packed, we were greeted by a lovely lady who said she would try and get us a table, she gave us menus and advised to go upstairs for a cocktail we... Beautiful setting and lovely cocktail bar upstairs. I would recommend for a first date but the food was more for show than real quality, the scoops, duck and monk fish were all pieces of art on a plate but all over cooked and lacking flavour. The beef capatio, forgive my spelling, was tough and I believe this dish should only... More

Visited for my birthday and wasn't disappointed. I had the goats cheese and fig salad for starters which was devine and the rump steak for main course which was one of the best I've tasted. Great service and cheerful staff. All in all a good night. Would highly recommend

Anna the manager and the team really made a special effort for a family anniversary meal we organised at Cafe Vin Cinq. Staff were polite and very attentive, location and interior is exquisite, and the food- divine! Portions are a surprisingly good size for those with a large appetite without compromising on quality. Most of us had the 'steak frites'... More

Booked Cafe Vin Cinq late in the week and for this reason was seated downstairs which was OK (and they did check when I booked) but if you have the choice upstairs is clearly better. We pushed the boat out and had the scallops followed by the fillet steak/lobster combo - billed as a "surf and turf". The scallops were... More

Service: 10/10 Extremely attentive staff and food served in good time. Food: 9/10 I had the lamb shank and my girlfriend had the bouillabaisse. Both were delicious. The cheeseboard is massive and excellent value for money too! Atmosphere: 10/10 Beautifully lit environment, unpretentious despite outstanding food. We can't wait to come back for cocktails!
