You really get what you pay for , excellent value, good surrounds and very pleasant staff. Thank you.
Went for the first time since taken over by Fayre and Square. Very busy in the food area but understandably with weekday carvery at £4+. Food seemed good quality and obviously fresh due to massive take up. Staff friendly and obliging. Restaurant kept clean. Other menu choices available Good choice for quick meal if in the area.
Went here with a few girls from work for the Christmas meal offer. We had a reserved table in the main room which was very nice, all 3 courses were very good well presented and tasty, the staff were excellent looking after us all evening. I have been there a few times now at dinner time for the carvery and... More
The food is not brilliant but this place represents value. The food is hot and plentiful and the staff are friendly. Watch out for the queues though, very popular at lunchtime.
We visited the Longshoot for a family Christmas lunch. It was certainly not the best dining experience I have ever had! The starters were OK (just!) but looked as if they had been plated up for some while prior to serving. For the main course, we opted for the carvery, which promised a choice of gammon, turkey or beef (or... More

I can confirm that I have passed on your concerns to the management team who would like to investigate your feedback. We have sent... More
I went back to stay here, and wow!!! what a difference now that the night manager isn't there anymore. Can't remember he's name. Mark - Mick something like that. He was sooooo professional with people. He knows and understands how to treat guests, and how a hotel works. He should be running the place. The meet and greet I got... More
This establishment has been trading as a carvery for DECADES, and don't get me wrong, they have seen off competition from rivals over the years, but I visited this place recently, and its virtually the same from my last visit in 1996. No-nonsense food and service, and value for money, but I feel an 'update' of the menu is in... More
We have recently started going back to this place, the reason, friendly staff, high quality food and very reasonably priced. To be fair its quite cheap and to say you get what you pay for isnt reflected here. The quality of the food is that of a carvery where you would pay a lot more. The drinks are reasonably priced... Met Friends Saturday Lunchtime, reserved a table online , reserved table waiting for us . We all had the Carvery , good to report that there were no complaints. The meals are not expensive and therefore excellent value. We will return. As an aside - watched a mother with her 13/14 year old daughter return to their table after collecting... More
We went for a quick carvery on the way to a friends, it was value for money and the service was good. Desserts were offered at the table which was nice. The only thing was I was looking forward to a bit of gammon, but it was covered in mustard, I hate mustard! Surely people can add their own of... More
