Kids thought their fish and chips were terrible . . . moaned all the way through!! My steak was nice but was literally a steak and a few posh chips!!!!! No garnish either. No effort really went into the presentation of our food!!!! The other steak was so poor (chewey) we refused to pay and apart from the 2 bites... More

Eaten here numerous times over past 2 years with work colleagues and ate today,wonderful to see Maggie back ,she's such a miss ,pity she's retired,most welcoming lady ,come back Maggie you are too young to retire.

The notice at the entrance to the car park invites you to 'Try our Famous Handmade Pies' so we did and were not disappointed. We had the Steak and Ale and the Chicken and Leek. I have been coming to the Redgate for about a year now for the Morgan Sports Car Club lunch meetings and jolly good it is too. Very friendly pub with great atmosphere and staff. This pub/restaurant is a superb venue, always give a very warm welcome and offer excellent quality food at an exceptionally fair price. I visit with a car club and the food and service is so good have been back with my wife a few times. The Pies are well recommended and the be is well kept and of excellent quality.

Me and my workmates go to the Redgate every Friday lunchtime, the pies are that good! And fantastic value too! I'd recommend a vist to anyone in the area.
