a group of about nine or ten Morgan owners occasionally meet here as it is fairly central for most of us to make a two hour journey....and last week, we journeyed from most corners to meet for a Christmas pie. A very warm welcome, great food, superb service, great price, and the guarantee we will be there again soon. Thanks... More

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. No one around, no staff, no customers eventually bar staff appeared. Ordered drinks and sat in the bar area for a meal. Slow service as only manager their to serve and a few other customers arrived. Eventually ordered the food. Husband went to the loo and he is they were absolutely disgusting, filthy dirty. My... Although it has improved since my last visit, it still needs a good polish. Slow service and not hot food still not acceptable

No complaints at all about the food; beef in particular was delicious and the veg were great too. Service was pleasant (though we had to wait a little while for the initial drinks) - main drawback was the general atmosphere and ambience on the occasion of our Sunday afternoon visit...it was reasonably busy but the layout and decor seemed a... My husband booked this for my birthday as we were staying nearby. On arrival it looks like a pub rather than a steakhouse and it looks like it needs a refresh outside. Our table was in a small sideroom with only 2 other 2 person tables in and we were baffled why they put us in there when there was... More

After seeing the signs for the road closures on the a5 we decided to give this lovely restaurant a go. Gladly we were not disappointed, the service was friendly, the food was definitely prepared with care and attention. I opted for the fillet (delicious) and my partner had a vegetarian mixed grill, very good for a steak house! Will definitely... More

My son has a very severe milk allergy, i struggle when ordering a variety of different foods, yet here at the redgate the guy that looked after us was very knowledgeable and thorough. He checked and doubled checked with the chef and the product ingredients. Anything he was unsure of he called the supplier to unsure my son would be... More

We visited the Redgate last night with my parents for my husbands birthday. My parents had visited before but we hadn't. We also took our 5 year old daughter. The food was fantastic!! We had the mezze sharer and meat sharer to start and shared it between us. For mains both myself and my husband had the mixed grill. This... More

I chose the Redgate Steak & Alehouse for a first date meet. We both loved the food, absolutely gorgeous! The staff were friendly and the service was spot on. We had a fantastic date, we are still together and will be returning to celebrate our one year anniversary next March!
