Best value pie and wine night

Just back from a great meal at the Horse. Up to its usual quality with a choice of home made pies (mine was the smoked haddock, salmon and asparagus pie) served with oodles of fresh veg and crispy roast potatoes, and a glass of wine. Brilliant value for the quality.

A group of friends booked a table for champagne breakfast this morning. I took my baby with me as I have done on several occasions previously. I asked if they had baby changing facilities and I was advised by a waiter that they hadn't however, they had more spacious toilets the other end of the restaurant. I enquired as to... More

We love going here. Not necessarily a cheap dining option, but worth every penny. Superb food choice. Quality and presentation of food excellent. Situated right in the heart of Bosworth its a great place to eat and then go for a walk in the park.

We happened across this lovely restaurant by luck but had a great lunch. The lovely interior with linen tablecloths was well presented and the staff were helpful. The duck bon bonds were delicious.

Manager fitted us in even though he was full - much appreciated - it was our wedding anniversary and although we were on D.B.B. at Bosworth Hall, we would have cut our throats rather than eat there again. Our food here was beautiful - cooked to perfection, nice atmosphere and great service although a little pricey - £66 two mains... More

Attentive service - Sunday lunch was of a high standard and the food was excellent quality. The greek salad was lovely and roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and vegetables very nice. Had a strawberry meringue tart for pudding - I just wished the meringue had been more crisp on the top.

What a fantastic meal we had last night at the Black Horse. We both had birthdays this week and decided to celebrate with a visit to the Black Horse. I have dairy and wheat allergies and the Black Horse never make me feel as though I am being difficult. The food was superb, adapted to suit me, and only beaten... More

The Black Horse is in the square at the centre of this lovely old town. We have eaten here many times and the standard is always high. It was relatively quiet when we were there on Monday last but the quality was well up to scratch with good service too. I had green lipped mussels followed by the chicken curry... More

My wife had told me about "Pie Night" so my daughters and I took her to the Black Horse on Monday evening. The restaurant was full which says a lot for a Monday night. There was a choice of three pies or we could have ordered from the a la carte menu. The meal was excellent value and the pies... More
