Visited here with family for Sunday lunch. It was certainly an experience! The whole place doesn't seem to have changed since the 70s, except the quality of the meat is far better than was generally served in that era. The starters are pretty basic - but good quality - and the desserts are incredibly out of date (very, very sweet... More

Myself and wifey visited The Huntsman on a Sunday at 1200. It was definitely wise to have reserved a table here as the place filled up quickly. First off, we were immediately welcomed by staff and taken straight to our table for two. The decor is very simply a red coloured carpet and dark wooden paneling. The light was low... More

This was a strange place to visit, everyone raved about it so I was quite looking forward to it - unfortunately I was disappointed - the food was pretty dull (prawn cocktail swimming in sickly sauce for starters), the meat was delicious from the carvery but the accompanying vegetables were simply boiled - nothing interesting. the puddings were again from... The food here is just great and there is plenty of it. The chef takes a great pride in the food and knows just exactly how to carve and serve it to suit your taste. The vegetables are well cooked and the Yorkshire puddings and gravy are very tasty. It is an all in price for three courses and the... More

We managed a Bank Holiday weekend with the Caravan in Warwickshire. Looking for somewhere for a Sunday Roast we hit the Web. Everything pointed to The Huntsman as the place to go. We turned up on spec for the Sunday Evening session and they greeted us warmly and managed to find a table for the two of us. The service... More

We ditched the kids and visited the Huntsman. I have been a few times when i was younger and it held such high expectations in my head. I was not let down. The food is stunning, how they cook joints that size and so tasty and tender is a real talent. Just a huge portion of meat and veg. The... More

This is easily the best carvery I have visited. Despite being quite expensive, you get what you pay for with a great starter and a carvery that doesn't compare to any other I have experienced

Really good food every time! My favourite place for a carvery. We have been eating here for as long as we remember and even tho' it's been extended, the decor could do with a makeover, very tired.
