Food is fab. And if you don't fancy a full on Sunday lunch, they also do hot meat sandwiches with roast potatoes. Mmmmm great.

We had a little get together of 40 people for a wedding celebration and the staff went out of their way to make sure our guests and ourselves were looked well after. The food was delicious and the selection was excellent. Hot dishes... pulled barbecue pork, sweet and sour chicken, a pasta dish and more and even more on the... More

Unscheduled stop at this delightful pub turned out to be a great treat! I had the sweet chilli chicken with pitta bread and my brother had the hot beef bun and both were really well cooked and very tasty! Sat outside in the sunshine and was definitely good value. Would recommend it to everyone. Staff were very polite, friendly and... More

4 of us visited last night expecting some nice pub grub. All I can say is give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. the food was much more than just good pub grub, it was one of the best meals we have had collectively for a long time. This may not be the cheapest meal you can... More

Visited yesterday with friends. Food was really nice, well presented, very tasty and 'real' chips. Sticky toffee pudding was yummy. The service was excellent. The lady looking after us was attentive and helpful when we were deciding what to have from the menu. Atmosphere in the extension was pleasant especially as there was no music so we could hear each other... More

Although we have been coming to this pub for years I object on principle to being charged £1 for a 22 gram mini pack of crisps for my son when up to a week ago they were 50gram. When I complained they just said he charges the same whatever he buys in. Rip off merchants.

We are not strangers to this pub which was recently extended to take advantage of their excellent food and we regularly invite visiting family members here as we have, in the past, been so impressed with their homemade burgers and steak stones. This evening we visited and ordered a starter and main, we waited 30 minutes or so before a... More

Visited The Havelock Arms yesterday with a friend hoping for a quick bite to eat. Arrived at around 1.30pm, bought our drinks at the bar and found a table in the new conservatory area. After waiting 30 minutes for someone to take our food order I decided to just order our 2 sandwiches at the bar, whilst I was doing... More

A choice of my partners for a lunchtime snack. Was very quiet with only us and another two diners, however the silence was deafining, no music or voices of other customers made the place lack atmosphere. I had to use the disabled toilet which really doubled as a cleaning cupboard. Food was mediocre, home made chips were far too greesy.
