Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Washington. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Tyne & Wear’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

£9.50 for a dinner that was worse than bad! Never ever will we return! No taste. Over priced. I don't recommend this place if you are wanting a nice dinner! 👎

This was one of the better Toby Carveries we have eaten at. So good (and convenient) we went three times. Despite warnings that they were always busy, we only had to wait once and that was for less than 5 minutes. There was little queueing at the carvery and there was always the full choice of meat and veg on... More

We arrived about 5 it was chaotic we were seated and told someone would come to take our order we had to shout because they went straight to the people that came in after us. I ordered my drink without ice but it came with the staff looked stress so just let it go. It took a while for them... More

Weekly Carvery is very reasonably priced, great value and variety. Considering it was really busy it did not take too long to be seated. Desserts are fab and some you can get at reduced rates. Staff are very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile and could not ask for better with great service or food!

We visited the Toby Carvery at Washington last night. We haven't visited a Toby Carvery before, but we were staying the night at the adjacent Premier Inn so it was a practical choice. There was myself, my husband and two children (12 and 8). It was relatively busy, but we sat down at a very nice table in the window... More

Toby sent a voucher for £5 off a main meal and what a bargain that was. Apart from the price of the drinks the meal, which was very substantial ,hardly cost anything. I had the choice of 3 roasts and of course a host of veg. The place was so full I think everyone must have been sent a voucher. Needless... More

It was hard for us to get any service and were sat around waiting for drinks and also trying to get the staff members attention so that we could pay. We could have walked out without anyone noticing because they were that tied up, but obviously we did not. Good food, but would not return because of the service.

I love Tobys because of the fact that you can fill your plate as high as you want and go back many times and no-one bats an eyelid, i still wonder how they get their Yorkshire puddings so big, if you want to fill up Toby's is the place to go

Not really much I can say about it in general, as the food in every Toby I have visited has been of the same good quality. However the staff in Washington are the nicest staff in any bar/restaurant/cafe I've been to. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they often chat to you when it's not busy. The layout... More

Best full English brekki ever & everyone should try it at least once, we were served by Charlotte, nothing was a problem, made to feel very very welcome, we'll be back again.
