Description: Welcome to the Toby Carvery Washington. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Tyne & Wear’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

We went to the Toby for breakfast for a change as we had received a £5 code via email (both me and my mam) I was well impressed with the breakfast. Was expect cheap tasteless sausages but they were delicious. The bacon was a bit fatty but one you removed the edges it was nice. I do prefer my bacon... More

Long time since we have been as we think its a expensive on a weekend. Good value weekdays for well provisioned Carvery which we enjoyed. Beef could have been tastier but the pork & gammon were excellent.

It's been a while since I've visited the Toby, but decided to pop up after picking my daughter up from school. The restaurant wasn't busy but there was plenty of staff. We had a drink in the bar before eating & then we were shown to a large round table, there was only 3 of us & a baby. We... More

Carvery price £9.95 per head. In Aberdeen same meal £4.79. Chef tries to dole out slivers of meat instead of slices and wants to argue about what weights are acceptable or not. No way, forget it.

I went as I was fed up with poor food at the Campanile. What a pleasure. Quality was excellent price very reasonable. We had to wait for a table but when we did get one we could see why people came to it. Excellent carvery with freshly cooked food.

Visited for a meal for my sons birthday. Food was lovely and service excellent. Our waiter was a young man called Liam who was very polite and professional, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be visiting again next month for my daughters birthday. Mrs Milford

We were staying in the Premier Inn near by and decided to have our evening meal here. Warning bells rang when we saw a notice on the door saying that the price of the Cavery was increasing to £9.95(or thereabouts) because it was a Bank Holiday.!! The place was virtually empty. We only stayed because our son was very hungry... More

If you don't mind your lunch early then get down for 1145. Sat straight down, order for drinks taken immediately and about half a dozen people in the queue for the Carvery. Tucking into to a delicious Sunday lunch by noon. I get a portion of all meat, each one cooked lovely, with the turkey coming out as a close... More
