great food

Lovely food and a nice atmosphere. Service good even though busy. Bit of a squeeze at each table. Love the fact they welcome dogs

The meal here is very poor quality at home made, local produce price! Don't be deceived! The menu has been the same for the passed 20 years! And to be fair - it was the worst pub meal I've eaten in 20 years! Avoid - do yourself a favour and choose a 'real' country pub! I had the 'special menu'... More

Had a lovely family meal in this friendly inviting pub, big portions and beautifully diplayed tastey dishes.

When you order a beef roast and scampi and chips and it arrives in under 3mins, you know it's bad. Reheated, refried and barely edible. We visited this pub after reviews stating its dog friendliness and home cooked food. Yes dogs are welcome and the international staff are friendly, but the carpet is worn, the tables cramped, the interior shabby... More

Googled dog friendly pubs in the area & this came up. Turned up without booking. Even though they were very busy, they were very helpful & found us space. Lovely atmosphere. Lots to choose from the menu & plenty of vegetarian choice. Staff were very friendly & hard working. Locals were also very welcoming & great to chat to. Overall... More

Having taken a walk round the nearby lake we stopped here for early dinner. Despite being fully booked later in the evening they welcomed us (& both dogs) in beforehand. While you are given a menu, the real stars are on blackboards around with various homemade pies, Wellington variants & a heap of vegetarian options. Service was swift & friendly.... More

Went there for Sunday lunch with two friends. Proper old English Country pub, but with a twist, in that it provides excellent food; an extensive menu with many specials; and very decent portions. Went for a walk round Virginia Water, then went back to the Rose and Olive Branch and had tea with nice desserts from the menu. We will... More

Fab food, good service, and lovely traditional warming puddings. All in all a good experience, hope to return soon! I had the chicken and mushroom classic pie, tasted lovely. Others had the Salmon wellington and Lamb mint and orange, also complimented how good theirs tasted too.

Went to The Rose and Olive Branch pub/restaurant with my wife, son and daughter in law during the week before Christmas for lunch. Whilst we were there it was fairly quiet, but it seems to have lost the care factor, and welcoming that we used to feel in the past, especially as the waitress wasn't rushed off her feet. The... Couldn't resist the venison and chocolate pie at the Rose and Olive Branch! At work, we call this the 'Pie Pub' and we have our annual work outing there every December. Great place!
