Enjoyable night with friends in the Virginia Water area with a meal at The Rose and Olive Branch. I am specially fond of the steak, guiness and stilton pie.

Visited the Rose & Olive Branch for the first time and had an excellent meal. My husband is Coeliac and had a good choice from the Gluten free menu, including puddings. The Cotswold chicken pie was delicious and the Lemon Meringue Pie was probably the best I have ever tasted. The staff were also very friendly and polite Would definitely... More

Excellent service, cosy pub, very good menu at a reasonable price, my friend and I met for lunch and really enjoyed the food and the nice old cosy pub atmosphere. Would recommend it for family, and friends, nice location.

My husband , daughter & myself called in here on Saturday 26th April for lunch as we had read the online menu & thought it sounded very much our sort of food. How wrong can you be about a place? As soon as we walked through the door our first impression was that we must have come to the wrong... More

We go to this restaurant about once a month or so. The staff are excellent and the food is always good. The "Pies" are their speciality and are of a size that my husband and I can share it!! We would recommend this to any one who wants a good meal with a good appetite. We would advise that you... More

Being a recent new dog owner, I googled 'dog friendly, virginia water' and was surprised and delighted to 'find' this pub on the doorstep after only, oh, 18 years of spending weekends in the neighbourhood! What an oversight. We were a party of five plus toddler - I wouldn't say we are picky eaters, but between us we do have... More

My family and I have eaten here many times since 2007. Their homemade pies are TRULY homemade and the selection of pies is larger than any other menu I've seen. My favorites are the venison, red wine and chocolate and the lamb, mint and orange pies. My husband loves the steak, guinness and stilton pie. If you aren't crazy for... More

Amazing pies, great roast dinners. We always enjoy our meals here, our best pub in a 10mile radius for food by a long way! Was lots of nice pubs near us but now they've gone downhill we'd rather travel further away to have great food. Definitely recommend. Do book though you may be disappointed if you don't.

A birthday lunch: six of us booked in at 1pm on a Sunday. Although I had satnav, it would be easy to drive past as it's snugly set off the road. Ample parking: a warm welcome from the staff. Our waitress was Romanian "No, I didn't arrive on January 1st!" she laughed. Three of us ordered lamb; one the game... More

A really extensive menu with something to suit all tastes. Food was of highest quality and reasonably priced. Restaurant is small but was a bit too quiet when we visited on a Thursday night. The Abbott Ale was excellent.
