Nice and has potential

had a nice Sunday lunch. Nice appetizers, a bit creative. Huge main courses portions. Good leg of lamb, even if too cooked for me (any luck for pink and grey...not just grey). Staff was very pleasant and attentive...the only thing was the distance between the benches and the table : too far apart... read more

It has been about 3 months since we have been at The Bear. We found a restaurant with way better service in The Star near the Leatherhead Golf Course. Since moving here over 18 months ago we probably attended The Bear 15 - 20 times. The majority of the time the service is indifferent. Most times we went were Sunday... More

We come here with our spaniel a couple of times a month.the pub has three areas, a restaurant (which I'm not that keen on) the pub area and a large decking area which is covered in the winter and has heaters. The menu is great but you need to check it carefully as there are subtle changes eg one week... More

I wanted to book Sunday lunch for 2 for our Wedding anniversary at 2.00ish but there was no availability so we visited at 12.30. By 1.00 it was about two thirds full and the waiter said lots of people reserve tables and just don't turn up. How rude! Anyway they missed out. I've never been here before and came on... More

My wife loves America and likes to celebrate their Thanksgiving Day. Usually we do this at home but this year we saw that the Bear was laying on a Thanksgiving menu. So we decided to give it a try. We invited our daughter and one of our grandsons to join us. The Thanksgiving main course was served as a sharing... More

Came here for lunch had delicious fresh bread to start then one of the best fillet steaks I have had in a long time The bernaise sauce was homemade and better than I could make it. Fish and chips looked good and they had crayons for the kids. If in the area well worth a visit...

We visited this restaurant most nights while in Cobham, the menu was large selection was great and had something different each night. The food was hot, portions were large and prices were reasonable. Service was great both indoors and out on the back patio.

I went for Sunday lunch with my husband and my daughter on my birthday. The service was slow from the beginning. After allocating us at the table nobody came to take our order for a long time. Waiting time for our food was also long and I didn't like what I got. First of all the meal for my daughter... More
