Description: We started out in Kingston in 2001 and opened our Walton restaurant in...
We started out in Kingston in 2001 and opened our Walton restaurant in June 2014. Our owner, executive chef, and many of our staff are Turkish and they have proudly drawn on their heritage to create a little corner of Turkey in the UK. Our food is cooked by chefs who were brought up with traditional Turkish cooking and who have been trained to the highest standards in Istanbul. We want you to enjoy the true taste of Turkey so the interiors of both restaurants are designed with Turkish decor. And all food is served in authentic Turkish cooking utensils such as clay pots. THE ORIGINS OF OUR NAME According to ancient history, Cappadocia was the birthplace of St George. It means "the land of beautiful horses and was an extensive inland district of Asia Minor, which is now modern Turkey. The first settlers built their homes into stone cliffs and burrowed their cities underground. Today tourists are drawn to Cappadocia by its unusual scenery, and of course to stay in a cave hotel.

The food and service are consistently good at the Walton location. We have been on Wednesday evenings for "steak night", for lunch and dinner on weekends and the food is delicious. The tiger prawns, sea bass and vegetarian dishes are well prepared, seasoned, lovely and good.

We had a lovely lunch here. The staff were attentive and the food was very tasty - almost as good as in Turkey. My only advice would be if taking children to eat there, they may enjoy sharing meze and kebabs rather than having the children's meal - my son was very disappointed with his Turkish pizza (even though it... very nice place, good food, nice kabobs and lahmacun. Love this place. Yes in some degree i prefer North London Turkish restaurants more but all in all nice place to spend good time with friends and families. Nice and friendly environment. Highly recommended for those living in surrounding areas to Kingston.

Visited with family on Bank Holiday Monday (this was our second visit). The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout at this Turkish restaurant with a buzzy atmosphere. Our food, which was freshly prepared and cooked, came promptly and was a pleasure to eat. We'll come again!

Dined here last night with my friend & the food and service was absolutely phenomenal. I was a bit unsure if I would like any of the food but the lamb starter definitely changed my mind! The atmosphere was great and the staff were very friendly - I will definitely dine here again where you can experience REALLY authentic Turkish... More

I've eaten here a few times and each times has been excellent. Great dishes, excellent grills. Really, could not ask for better. My partner and me recently went for the dinner for two set menu deal that they do on Mondays. Ridiculous amount of superb quality food for 25 pounds. We literally rolled out of there!!! Staff very friendly and... More

Cappadocia is opposite Kingston upon Thames train station. The resturant is Turkish and rather excellent Turkish at that. Cappadocia is large, friendly with lots is staff and a big menu. Last night 3 of us went and as an idea of cost we had 3 starters 3 main courses 2 Turkish coffees 4 beers and 2 cokes for around £86.... More
