Restaurant decorated nicely inside. Location across from the river in Kingston... Can sit outside.. Have to say the food was not good! Tasteless and very much looked like it had just been thrown together! Calamari was chewy & served with old lettuce ! We sent it back they took it off our bill -£7.50 ££ Ordered pasta & garlic bread... More

Bog standrad Italian. The staff try to make it exciting. But perhaps try slightly too hard. Buzzy. Great atmosphere. And interesting people watching to be done particularly at the weekend. But the food isn't as good as the ambience. If you want entertainment go here. If you want great food go somewhere else.

Al Forno is a lovely restaurant situated just back from the river front on the outskirts of the town centre in Kingston. The atmosphere is reminds me of those Dolmio puppets in their pasta sauce adverts. We each had a starter and a Pizza with a bottle of wine (to share ;). The staff were friendly and engaging. A nice... More

We ordered a pizza with prosciutto and rucola. The topping of cheese and Parma ham was rich and good, although there could have definitely been more rucola, just a few tiny leaves sprinkled over a large pizza are too few to make the taste balanced. The base was the real weak point, though: soft and not crunchy at all, as... More

I was assured that booking this Restaurant was probably not necessary.Given that we arrived a little early all the tables were occupied so strongly advise booking. We both love authentic Italian Restaurants and this one was a bit special with Waiters flying all over the place in what can only be described as organised chaos, all delightfully chattering without drawing... The ambiance as you enter Al Fornos is great on a Friday evening. The live singing is a great addition to the restaurant and really adds atmosphere. The restaurant was packed and I was greeted pleasantly and taken to my table where I was in a large group of about 20. So far so good. The waiters were friendly but... More

My husband and I love this place! The staff is always friendly and we never have to wait lot of time before ordering our meal. We often go there with family and friends..we're "italiani" and this is for us the best italian restaurant in UK!! You can eat the REAL ITALIAN PIZZA with real italian ingredients, the best fried calamari,... More

We have been to this restaurant about 8 times in the past year since we discovered it. Don't think we have had a meal we did not like. Better food than most Italian restaurants in Rome. Service on this visit was good. In the past sometimes they are more into chatting with other staff or when a group of females... More

An Italian restaurant not to miss if you are around Kingston upon Thames! Delicious food and such a great atmosphere. Fit all sorts of occasions whether family lunch/early dinner or a fun night with friends. The host Fabio and his team make you feel welcome and if you are in the mood you can have a quick dance on salsa... More
