Lovely country pub

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Dog friendly rather than just dog tolerant. Great outdoor area with playground for the kids. Long walks on Hankley and Frensham commons nearby. Delicious food with great specials. Overall a great choice for a pub lunch.

Decided to try this place as we regularly drink at the Wheatsheaf in Farnham. Whilst the Wheatsheaf has a reasonable amount of space for drinkers The Duke of Cambridge is clearly targeting the restaurant market only. On a Saturday lunchtime all of the tables were reserved (even though most were never occupied during our visit!) leaving very little space for... More

Great pup in a lovely setting. When we went here we had a rather large table of 14, the food came out promptly and really well cooked. Only minor critism is that there is no contactless payement. Thoroughly enjoyable, I will be back.

Nice and clean. well presented inside and out. Outside area covered by Canvas and heated when required ,large well kept garden and play area for children. We ate there twice while staying at Tilford Woods Lodges. All the meals but one were good. Whole Plaice on the specials board had more bone than flesh and was disappointing value. Prices seemed a... As it was a sunny evening, and we are looking for somewhere to host a small wedding reception, we had heard good things about this pub. We arrived, and had to go round the car park as it was very full - people everywhere! We stood at the bar for about 10 minutes as it was knee deep in people... More

Our party of five had very tasty and tender meats and nice wine along with delicious accompanying vegetables, in a busy but charming old pub in a wonderful rural location. The atmosphere in the place was also very good and the staff were very efficient and charming young people. The chef came out to find our views on the meal... More

We tried to book a table for the restaurant but they were full - we were advised that they had the Garden or Patio area's where tables were on a first come basis. We got a table on the patio as soon as we arrived. We had to wait a while for our order to be taken / for the... More

Visited with family and found it very busy, but staff rapidly found a table for us and made us very welcome. The food and service were excellent. This place has such ambience and is well worth a visit. We will return.

We have eaten here many times. The food in generally very good - particularly great Sunday roasts, and we love the crab sandwiches. Never liked their burger inside the pub, but they now also have another operation adjacent to the garden area that does excellent burgers in the warmer months. BUT recently tried the falafel burger and it was stunningly... More
