Visited Loch Fyne with friends for a birthday celebration. We had a good table by the window so it was nice and cool on a very hot evening. Our waiter was Frasier who was polite and attentive. All courses were delicious consisting of muscles, baby octopus and scallops with haggis. The mains were lobster, gilt head seam bream and cod... More

Although this is part of a chain (and I object to chains on principle) the food is very good indeed. The restaurant does not have that 'chain restaurant' feel about it. My only complaint would be that the portions a trifle skimpy - especially the potted crab. Having said that, the moules were marvellous: tender and tasty. I would always... More

We popped in one Friday evening with a big group to celebrate a birthday of a friend. The waiter was charming and wine arrived quickly, we'd been popped in a room of our own (probably to help other diners have a nice meal without hearing us being rowdy) but the food was a bit so so..... I had the mackerel... More

We had a lovely lunch here recently. When we walked into the restaurant our two little grandsons were immediately presented with a bag containing their own menu with pages for colouring, crayons, and a lovely balloon attached to it. The staff were very attentive towards the children, and we enjoyed the food. A good menu with plenty of choice, and... More

Table was booked for 2030 on Saturday night for 4 people, restaurant was quiet, empty tables and plenty of waiting staff but by 0930 our order had not even been taken. A couple had been waiting since 2000 and gave up and left. On asking whether we would be eating before 2200 we were told no ! This really should... More

We headed to Loch Fyne at the last minute as we wanted a meal out and had eaten at Loch Fyne restaurants before and been very happy with them. The restaurant was not busy by any means, lots of empty tables. The service was excellent and the starters arrived very quickly, sadly the crab and grapefruit salad was swimming in... More

We often went to the Guildford restaurant and as we have just moved to the area thought we would give it a try. We ordered and received our drinks and starters no problem bur after an hour we still had not received our main. My husband also had to go up to the bar for another drink during that time.... More

The early evening (up to 7pm) set meal - 2 courses for £10.45 - was superb. The staff were very gracious and helpful; the food was well-cooked and enjoyable. We had the Cullen Skink and Spinach Soup as a starter - delicious, and then all went for the Bradan Rost Salad. well done to the chef and all the staff!

Loch Fyne has grown on me after some poor experiences in Guildford a few years ago. Treated here by my daughters for fathers day the good impression continued. This is a spacious and well appointed restaurant with outside seating. I had scallops with haggis which was nice although the haggis was not the best, my daughters had lobster bisque which... More
