Visted here plenty of times but this occasion was the worst. Got our starters and had half finished them before our drinks were served ... Main was not great the fish had lots of bones left down one side.....and the dessert from the specials menu Rum & Chocolate was more a chocolate mousse. Dined here for a quick bite to eat and was impressed as I usually am with the quality of food and service. The waitress, Chelsea, was friendly and helpful. We only had a drink each and a main due to being short of time but the fish and sides were delicious and there's a car park 30 yards away that's... More

My opinion of this restaurant is that they've not only gone further downhill lately but worse than that....they don't seem to care. On our previous visit there last year they ran out of chilled white wine - why ? We were told that there had been a table of 12 people and they'd taken all the stock....what ?? During our... More

Have visited the restaurant before. We were treating 2 friends, having just signed up for an LF card. We arrived at 6.30pm as per our booking, there was a relief manager working, who was trying his best against all the odds, We had to ask for the set menus, no one took an order until staff came on at 7pm,... This is a restaurant which I frequent regularly and find generally good, with outstanding features. However, I received an invitation to a “Special Event” which was described as “A Taste of India” and it was certainly unusual and enlightening. I was pleased to attend what promised to be an interesting and innovative experience, a one-off culinary journey, for an otherwise... More

The set menu (available until 19.00) is good value for money. £10.45 for 2 courses and £12.45 for 3 courses. But the A La Carte menu is, in my opinion, over-priced. As are the drinks. £6.05 for a 250ml glass of a very average Argentinian glass of red wine (Malbec), is (I Think) "over the top", when you can buy... More

We have eaten in this restaurant now some 3 times, and am sad to say that the chain seems to have lost its way, from a very promising start, We have experienced half thawed out prawns, tepid coffee, very slow service, which is a great shame because the location , and layout is good, the menu is attractive but think... I recently made my first visit in several years to this restaurant and it will be several years before I return. I love the concept of a chain of fish restaurants and really want to like Loch Fyne but it just isn't very good. I ordered roll mops and fish and chips on the basis that it is hard to... More

We arrived promptly as booked, but waited 20 minutes for drinks, then a further 20 for the starters, half of which were wrong - no apology - ten minutes after the others finished their starters, the other starters came - 40 minutes later the mains arrived and it has to be said that the fish was good - really good...
