You;d have thought that a restaurant specialising in seafood (a rarity in itself in the UK) would have a better rating especially given that much of the competition comprises chains, with all the indifference that they bring to eating. This Loch Fyne is nothing special. In most places the specials are chalked up somewhere, indicating that they change fairly regularly.... More

We visited with a large group last night, apart from a delay between menu's being provided and orders being taken - service was good all night. I had the prawns with chilli and garlic oil - it was swimming in oil, so it might not be for some but I LOVED it! By comparison the mussels were distinctly subtle in... More

Loch Fyne Farnham used to be one of our absolute favorite places to eat out without an empty table to be seen. I really can't understand why it's so bad now, especially considering the significant competition in the town. You'd have thought they would be pulling out all the stops to draw the customers in. Sadly this doesn't appear to... More

Sometimes when you have a bad experience somewhere you want to give people the benefit of doubt as maybe it was a one off. Having just read several reviews on here I see we are not alone in experiencing very poor service here. We turned up on a Thursday evening and it was fairly quiet. We asked for a table... More

Everything went wrong on our visit, particularly with my food and drink choices. First the waitress did not know which Gin they had (I gave her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was new, so I accompanied her to the bar). My starter of pan fried king prawns arrived as pan-cremated-until-charcoal prawns - this was returned and resubmitted but... More

23/06/15 I had been looking forward to dinner here having noticed the restaurant on my way through town from my hotel in the morning. I arrived alone at around 1930 and requested a table outdoors. Firstly, the restaurant is very clean and probably the largest Loch Fyne I have visited, there were approximately 6 small tables sat in the restaurant... More

I have just been to Loch Fyne in Farnham this afternoon with my daughter for a celebratory meal. The fergola had bits of broken shells in there and the food tasted very bland. 5 hours later I am cramping and vomiting with suspected food poisoning. The waitress did give my daughter a balloon though.

13/6/15 booked a table, nice starter, then waited 30 minutes before we were told that the courgette fritters were off the menu what would we like as a replacement, again another wait before I asked about our meal, when it came after a wait of 45 minutes after out starter, not impresseda at all, a very small piece of cod...
