Went here for Sunday lunch and to be honest wasn't too impressed. The meat was very tough and the vegetables tasteless. Staff were friendly but the service wasn't good waited for ages to have our dirty plates taken away. Wanted to order a coffee but waited so long for the for everything else we didn't bother. On the plus side... More

The Kings Arms is a bit expensive. But it's a fantastic pub. Classy, clean, nice decor, a wide selection of beers, ciders, wines and spirits and the staff are brilliant. Amelia, Emma and Charley are the three most bubbly people you'll ever meet. Always keen to have a chat with you and make small talk which goes a long way... More

There is very little choice for lunch but the quality is good. The food is prepared well and presented nicely. The chips were the best I have ever had. The service needs improving which is why only 4 stars as it was a bit lackadaisical. It would have been easy to tempted to have desserts had anyone come near after... More

On 13th August tried to book by phone but no reply. It was almost midday however. E mail failed to get a response also so we chanced just turning up on spec. Arrived at 7 pm and shown to a table, first impression was good. Pleasant and friendly waitress. We ordered two glasses of wine and looked at the menu.... More

I went her for lunch with my mother yesterday lunch time. I had not been here for 40 years and needless to say it has changed a bit. The emphasis appears to be on food and it has a large dining area at the rear of the pub. There is also a very nice garden at the rear and the... More

I walked into this pub on a quiet Sunday evening, just expecting a quiet meal and a couple of pints. By the time I left, i felt on a huge natural high about life. The bar staff Amelia and Charley treated me as if I was a member of the Swedish royalty, and food tasted like it had been prepared... More

It was fairly quiet when four of us visited for a Saturday night dinner (but got busier as the evening progressed). There was one waitress in the dining room; and they could have done with at least one more once it got busier. Three of us ordered the ham hock with poached egg stack for starter– unfortunately we all got... More

Went as a group on a sunny Friday lunchtime. Took over an hour to finish delivering our food with a range of 30 minutes between first and last. My steak was not the medium rare I ordered and certainly not good value.or quality. Sorry guys, I know it became busy but we were one of the first to arrive. You... More

I ordered the fish. Was given the tiniest portion of sea bream for £14. When I complained, I was told that that was a standard size and no apology was offered. Unfortunate as I would have expected an apology and possibly an offer of a side. My friends were also disappointed with the minuscule dessert portions. Over-prized and under-sized sadly
