It was fairly quiet when four of us visited for a Saturday night dinner (but got busier as the evening progressed). There was one waitress in the dining room; and they could have done with at least one more once it got busier. Three of us ordered the ham hock with poached egg stack for starter– unfortunately we all got... More

Went as a group on a sunny Friday lunchtime. Took over an hour to finish delivering our food with a range of 30 minutes between first and last. My steak was not the medium rare I ordered and certainly not good value.or quality. Sorry guys, I know it became busy but we were one of the first to arrive. You... More

We had a family pre Xmas Sunday lunch here. Nice table, excellent value set menu, and food was nice too. Service was good, so can't fault the place. Can't speak fir the rest of the menu but will return on s Sunday.

I ordered the fish. Was given the tiniest portion of sea bream for £14. When I complained, I was told that that was a standard size and no apology was offered. Unfortunate as I would have expected an apology and possibly an offer of a side. My friends were also disappointed with the minuscule dessert portions. Over-prized and under-sized sadly

My husband and I have been here a few times over the last few months since the refurb and we absolutely love it!! The staff are really friendly, chatty and seem genuinely keen to please. The atmosphere is really laid back and chilled out, a bit quiet if you're after a really buzzy traditional pub, but we like it. The... More

The service at all times was great, we were shown to our table given menus, drinks served, we were checked on regularly to ensure all was good and all by great staff. The food was ok, nothing exceptional and portions were on the small side all vegetables are extra. Would probably go back for a cheap lunch or one course... More

Visited for Saturday lunch - first impressions of the refurbishment were positive. The staff were friendly and we liked the bar area where we had a pre lunch drink before going into the restaurant. Unfortunately the food was overpriced and nothing special. My husband had the scallops for a starter and expected more than 3 for £9 on burnt black... More

the recently refurbished Kings Arms (a great rustic decor) is really worth a visit. My friends and I had a wonderful lunch today. The new management has really lifted this establishment. Food was well presented and beautifully cooked. I feel I must complement the chef. Our server was helpful and cheerful which added to our enjoyment. I strongly recommend a... More

A party of us went for Sunday lunch. They are advertising this as £15 for two courses but if you want roast beef which most of us did, there was a £3 supplement. I only wanted a main course and this was £15. This is very over priced for a roast dinner. The service was slow and drinks were expensive... More
