Can't complain about a burger that is rare when you ask for it to be!! Good food, good service, nice venue and walking distance from East croydon station. Win Win!
This pub is round the corner from my work so perfect for after work drinks. The food here is really good. I had the tempura prawns and the fish cakes. Both were really tasty and good value. My friend had the burger which was huge and good quality meat
After ringing up to check the pub was open, (we had visited a couple of times before when visiting Croydon and it had been closed). We were told it was and it was a karaoke night and the usual menu was not available! We went any way and what a great night I had with my 2 daughters, the food... More
If you didn't know about the Glamorgan you would miss it completely. It's set down a side street for East Croydon Station. I was introduced to it by a friend and I'm very grateful - it's now firmly on my list. Only a few meters from the bustle of Croydon the Glamorgan is an oasis. Tastefully appointed, a hearty and... This is our go to place after work if we are feeling lazy. Absolutely top notch food, generous portions, and a nice relaxed atmoshere. Some interesting meat burgers such as crocodile or springbok and the a la carte menu though small has never disappointed. Im in there now waiting for my crocodile fillet on crushed chilli and garlic potatoes to... More
Some great food from a short-but-interesting menu is served up by friendly hard-working staff in a fairly busy dining room at one end of a fairly busy pub. Lacks some atmosphere and decor, but the food is worth it.
Been here a few times - most recent trip a couple of nights ago - friendly staff - good food although menu a bit restricted - however quality of food excellent and well cooked and presented. Regrettably have never been able to manage a dessert - as they look pretty good. Couple of good ales on as well - ale... More
Sometimes I pop here for lunch. They do not have a wide range of meals but the meatballs and chips are a good value for £6. The portion size of chips is skimpy and you can literally count how many chips are on your plate , although they are tasty. The sandwiches are ok but overpriced. Drinks can be quite... More
Not the sort of place to drive 50 miles to visit but very good, local pub grub. Better selection of wines than many.
The title sums up my experience, really. The food is really great and there's a really unusual mix. You can get anything from a chicken wrap to a crocodile burger, pasta and meatballs to bunny chow, this South African themed gastropub restaurant really does have some lovely culinary delights. Whilst mains work out about £10 a head it isn't overly... More
