Quite simply pie & mash is the food of the Gods. Forget wine or oysters or being hand fed grapes at some sort of Bacchanalian orgy, it is, always has been and always will be pie & mash. I was heartbroken when I moved away from London (it was my own choice by the way, nobody forced me too, so... More

In the Croydon old town , you can enjoy traditional London fayre Pie , Mash and Liquor Everything is made freshly every day with minced beef supplied from the butcher's across the road and the spuds from nearby market . Wash down the meal with a mug of tea or hot/cold glass of Sarsparillo ( Original London Still Cola )... More

The fastest of fast food in a traditional pie and mash shop. We weren't brave enough to go for the eels, stewed or jellied, but others eating seemed to enjoy them!

Most times I'm in Croydon I visit Cockneys. Double pie, mash and liquor does it for me. Less than £6, and fills you for hours. I like to turn my pies upside down, open the base and add salt and strong vinegar. I give it four stars only because I remember (maybe with rose tinted glasses) the Harringtons of my... More

I am a Londoner born and Bred, and I have to say this Pie shop is one of the Worst I have ever had the misfortune to visit. The Liqour is thin and watery and the Pies leave a lot to be desired.I cut my Teeth in Pie and Mash Shops like Manzes,Cookes,Kellys, and Arments..The aforementioned are the best Pie and Mash shops... This pie shop does one of the best pie and mash in London. Their pastry is the best in my view and the people who run it are nice folk.
