Visited for the first time for Saturday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I had been told it was good but still was not expecting much. I was wrong to have been skeptical. The service was very good and, although the restaurant was not full (a very rainy, miserable day probably didn't help bring in passing custom) the... More

My husband and I visited here for our wedding anniversary dinner on a Wednesday night. PROS Lovely ambience - quiet with a classy yet homely feel Changeable and seasonable menu Strawberry and Rhubarb champagne apertifs cocktails were lovely - 10/10 We were given a romantic table in the corner Menu - comparable to London restaurants No problem to book a... I have visited this restaurant with friends and expected an amazing meal and it was quite disappointing as the food was just average with above average prices. Not really worth going in my opinion, there are better restaurants nearby where you can have a meal in a more relaxed atmosphere. Won't be coming back I'm afraid.

Visited Alberts Table for lunch today with my husband without making a reservation first. The maître d, Patrice, made us feel very welcome and as usual the food and service were excellent. Was disappointed the crab tart was not on the menu but the leek and onion tart was delicious. It made me try something else for a change and... More

I attach a copy of a letter I sent to the management at Albert's table as my review. I received no reply. I have eaten here three times, and my feelings have not changed regarding this place. If you are looking for a good restaurant avoid Croydon, you can do so much better in Clapham Junction or central London. I... More

Food is considerable limited in option. Service was really nice from the waitress but to have a 12.5% charge for waiting 5 tables was ridiculous that came to £15. We had a gourmet society card and when we called to book the table it was assumed that it would be 2 for 1 per 2 people. But alas this was... More

Six of us enjoyed a great meal. The staff were attentive, yet discrete. The food was delicious and also generous. The wine was good and yet not too expensive. The atmosphere was friendly and tasteful. A lovely evening.

The service, atmosphere and drinks were a real treat. It had a London vibe and we felt totally relaxed and looked after. Unfortunately, out of the four courses we had, we didn't enjoy any of it. Bland asparagus broth overpowered by aniseed flavour, pigeon drowned out with blood orange, pork (which was lovely) serviced with mushy ham cannelloni and steak... More

Enjoyed a first class meal with some lovely extras included, such as petit fours with coffee and goats cheese choux puffs after our starter. A little expensive but nice for a special occasion. If I could improve anything it would be the atmosphere. ..it was a bit dull. Some nice background music would provide some privacy for conversation. I felt... More

I have eaten twice at Albert's Table recently and find it by far the best restaurant in Croydon. The food was excellent - beautifully cooked and presented. The wines are well chosen and we really enjoyed them - especially the Picpoul de Pinet. Although this restaurant is a little more expensive than others on the 'South Croydon strip' it is... More
