Good food but on the expensive side

The food at Pennyhill Park is well prepared and well presented. it is pretty expensive, though. And if you're staying there, you tend to eat there because it's a bit of a hike to get to another restaurant.

We visited the Brasserie at Pennyhill Park for my husband's 50th birthday. The food and table service were good, but not outstanding. We arrived at 12.30pm for what we hoped would be a leisurely lunch. Starters were lovely, as were the roast meats (lamb, pork and beef), but the serving staff on the carvery were not at all welcoming and... More

This is a wonderful restaurant where nothing is too much trouble. The staff are super helpful and attentive. They made us feel really special. The food was the best. Quite expensive but a great wedding anniversary gift to ourselves.

Our son gave us a voucher for afternoon tea and we looked forward to it as we knew the Hotel well having been to two or three excellent functions there over a number of years. It was a glorious day but to say the Tea lived up to expectations was a gross understatement. We had a lovely window table and... More

We were there two nights. Food good, but service a bit variable. The first night it was excellent but the second was less attentive to the detail. Prices are probably about right for a luxury hotel. Wines from £24 upwards.

We had an amazing dinner, and really enjoyed our evening. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, and the food was exceptional.

At £30 a head the food was pretty poor. I will say more like cafeteria food. Choices are very limited. The roast pork was dry and the vegetables has been sitting there for a while. The cheeses were covered with flies and waitress was not interested when I mentioned this to her. Pimms at £9.50 was not cold and came... More

Young, inexperienced waiters, long wait, cold food, overpriced. Really gone downhill. Not what I would expect from a 5 star facility...
