Needed a quick meal before a show and booked on this provision. Great welcome and very good food. As only diners, the atmosphere was quiet but as we were 4, it was fine. Service could have been quicker given our requirements but we made the show on time. Will return to have a relaxed meal in good surroundings..

It had been some 20 years since I had visited this restaurant but had always enjoyed the food when I had been before. Myself and my husband had dinner on a Saturday night at 7.45pm. On entering I was shocked to find just another couple in there, we were seated at our table and drinks brought over, we looked the... More

Visited upstairs restaurant for special price menu, £7.95, real bargain, any starter, any main course, apart from specials and king prawns, rice or naan bread.more than enough food, good portions and served in a very attractive way. Waiter was really lovely will visit again when we are next in the area.

We visited quite early on a Saturday evening and were the only diners in the restaurant. I am a vegetarian and asked the waiter for some advice, the main meal he suggested was divine, and I will be returning to have exactly the same again. My partner had chicken tikka bhuna was he said was one of the best dishes... More

This was a by chance find as it was just down the road from where we were staying. Under an archway with a plain wooden door felt like we were entering somebody's flat or something. Up the stairs and into the restaurant. Absolutely nobody in there. Ok we are here now. What a find! The food was excellent and a... More

We have been using the Royal Bengal for 30 year, it has always served some of the best food in Tamworth. However, having not been there for more than a year (Been on a diet), we were a little concerned when we arrived there to find it under new management. Our fears soon put to rest. The decor is now... Visited the royal bengal twice last week with few of my colleagues, and both of thr times we were impressed by the quality of the food and the service. Presentation of the food was brilliant, wait-staffs were very polite and attentive. I would recommed this restaurant to anyone who looks for a place to guarantee quality food and service at... More
