My partner and I enjoyed an excellent lunch today at 'The Wayfarer' in Stone. My significant other chose the Chicken with Chorizo, while I went for medium rare Ribeye. We rounded of with Sticky Toffee Pudding for the good lady, while I went for the Eaton Mess. Two excellent lunches with first class service. Paul D

Taken to this restaurant by friends as a "thank you" and that is what it was. A good meal in very pleasant modern surroundings. There was nothing to find fault with; a good menu selection, service was fast enough and everything we had was good fresh and tasty food. If you liked this restaurant, try also the Swan with Two... I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have ever been too. Couldn't fault a thing. Food was unreal, could tell it was all homemade and fresh. The dector was beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxed! Staff were friendly and attentive! Overall a enjoyful experience. Would highly reccomend!

We stopped here on spec on our journey and the place was very busy but they still managed to find us a table within a couple of minutes and in a relatively quiet corner so we could talk easily. The food is I suppose 'gastro pub' if you want to label it. We were very impressed with the starter and... More

Visited as a party of 5 for a birthday on a Saturday lunch. Plenty of staff on the floor but waited 20 minutes before someone even asked us if we wanted a drink! After ordering drinks we waited another 10 minutes until they arrived at the table (restaurant wasn't that busy either) .... Food was fantastic, great variety on the... More

Lovely decor. Seem to be alot of very young staff serving, wandering aimlessly around. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes to have our drinks order taken, we then noticed the drinks on the bar and waited another 10mins for the young lady to get them ( was tempted to go and get them myself. ) Mains very nice, we... We went to the Wayfarer on a Wednesday night, good job we prebooked as it was very busy. The waitress was a very nice young lady who looked after us all night. The food was excellent, it tasted great and was very well presented. We have been before and will go again.

Ate here one night (Wednesday) and the place was absolutely rammed, it's a good job we booked. Food superb, excellent service too, it's obviously very well thought of locally.
