Always busy, the sign of a good pub. Food available at lunchtime. George's pies go well with a pint.

Easily the best pub in stone, great atmosphere and fantastic staff. Walking through the door your are greeted with a roaring fire, what could be more welcoming?! There is a fantastic range of real ales lined up along the bar, as well as ciders and lagers for those not partial to an ale or two. Pork pies and scotch eggs... More

Slightly out of the town centre but really worth finding. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and great beer - great range and great quality

Located this wonderful pub whilst travelling the Four Counties Ring, we would recommend the little walk from the canal because the service and friendly atmosphere of this pub is second to none.

I love this pub, cracking beers (the Titanic Plum Porter is the best) and great atmosphere. Not so keen on all the dogs in there as I have allergies but the beer more than makes up for that. The staff are always really friendly and the food is good. If you like real ales you will love this pub.

What a fantastic gem this little beauty is in the heart of Stone. Friendly and welcoming staff and one wonderful landlady, the many beers on offer are all excellent well kept and forever changing also nice to see a draught cider as well as many wines including fruit wines so something for everyone. The menu is small but the food... More

Last night Michelle had a soul/Motown night. Fantastic music. Always a great atmosphere. Do it again soon please Michelle. Wished we could have stopped to the end and had a boogie..

Visiting Stone on a barge. Glad we found this pub. Great atmosphere and beer from Titanic Brewery. There was a roaring fire and a mixture of ages of customers.

This pub reminds me of how good pubs should be. fantastic range - 6 - Titanic beers, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the 5 x 1/3rd glasses + cheese and half a pork pie deal. Well worth it. If I lived locally I don't think I would go anywhere else. Oh, and it has a bit of a library too!!

Widely believed to be the best pub in Stone (and rightly so) we are regular drinkers at the Royal Exchange, but have never eaten there until very recently (... unsure why?!?). It offers interesting local bar snacks & lite-bites which compliment the wide range of drinks available. Incredibly cheap and of a very high standard. Really what's not to like?... More
