Unfortunately the food here is a bit of a let down. I ordered the spicy southern chicken burger, which is served with reggae reggae sauce. When it came the burger was comprised of a dry bun with a piece of iceberg lettuce, 3/4 of a slice of tomato, a bit of mayo and onion and 3 pieces of breaded chicken.... More

After a lovely weekend away my husband and I popped in to the Colliers for a meal to complete the weekend before going home. We waited to be seated despite several tables being free, found this a little odd. However, we ordered drinks at the bar and it gave us chance to choose our food. We were soon advised that... More

I guess you could say this review is harsh as out of 5 meals 4 were not bad but I'm the reviewer and mine was dreadful. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto with Salmon Fillet. To start with it was not risotto, it was not made with Arborio rice neither was it cooked as a risotto should be. It was... More

The place was nigh on empty when we got there. Tables were not emptied promptly and service was slow. We eventually ordered after about 15 minutes. 20 minutes after that we were told that 3/6 meal choices were unavailable. 20 minutes to realise that in a virtually empty restaurant? The food when it arrived 35 minutes later was just edible.... More

After a not too good experience a few months ago service wise, we decided to give this a go. The children had liked their menu and we gave in. What a mistake. Not an experience to be repeated in a hurry... We were offered drinks while we waited. Then the drinks waited on the bar for what seemed ages before... More

Ate here twice as we where staying at the Premier Inn Next Door. Wide range Pub Food average prices, food came quickly was hot and cooked well. Breakfast next day was buffet style, all choices catered for. Would eat there again if in area but it's a pub not a flashy restaurant Not much more I can add, staff friendly,... More

We visited this pub/restaurant for lunch on our way back from Yorkshire to Buckinghamshire. It is a very comfortable and welcoming establishment, with pleasant and friendly staff and excellent food at good prices. It took a little while for the food to arrive, but it had been freshly cooked, not pre-cooked and left 'warming'. Portions were very generous and tasty.... More

Just got back from the colliers after deciding to pop out for Sunday tea. The experience was just so poor. Firstly we waited at the podium which is situated just through the front door and we waited and waited. Finally a waitress came over and asked if we would like a table for two ( no mention of the long... More

We stayed at the neighbouring Premier Inn and took advantage of the overnight meal deal for £23 each (actually £22.99- but they don't think we're bright enough to realise it's really £23)!. This includes a 2-course meal with quite a selection of food, a drink and a full breakfast. Great value. The atmosphere in the evening was a little noisy... More

We visited here on a Friday night when we were staying at the Premier Inn. We had the Premier Inn Meal deal which included two courses and a drink. The food was very good. We had Prawn cocktail and Chicken Goujons to start. We both had a mixed grill for main course which was very large and tasty but the... More
