The Spread Eagle is a beautiful pub, set in the chocolate box village of Rolleston on Dove. The building is a piece of living history. Established in 1651 it is one of the oldest buildings in Rolleston. Traditional great pub grub

Despite this venue being only 2 miles from us we have only recently eaten here and have found it excellent on all four occasions. We booked online but have previously telephoned our bookings. We arrived and as usual parked easily, on one occasion parking was limited but it was a hot summers day so... read more

Me, my partner and my family return here regularly and we are never disappointed. The food is always cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The cookie dough desert is definitely a must try. Can be quite pricey but you get the quality you pay for. Welcoming and relaxed environment with lovely staff that provide excellent customer service.

I came here with a group of 14 people for Father's Day this year. Was a really good atmosphere. Some of our guests chose of the Father's Day menu and some chose of the normal menu. (The Father's Day menu had the same meals as the normal but did a discount price for 2-3 courses) the meals were fabulous. But... More

Ate there in June 2015 on a busy Friday evening with my pal. We both chose from the set menu, chicken pate and then gammon. The pate was delish, served in a sizeable ramekin, and sealed with a crust of butter. Beautifully smooth and very moist. Hot crusty bread and chutney accompanied it. On reflection it was a huge helping,... More

First time visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Myself and my partner thought we would try this country pub for a spot of Sunday lunch. We were seated by a waitress who did table service for us, however there is an option for you to sit in the bar. I had Turkey, whilst my partner had beef, we were given... More
