We stopped here with our dog after a lovely walk. Food was lovely, home cooked and good size portions. Great options for vegetarians, even vegan options on the menu, very rare!! Will defiantly be back when we are that way. Great traditional pub in beautiful surroundings :)

Has two lovely meals here whilst camping down the road. Fab choice, good portions of home cooked food in a traditional pub. Real ale also available. Highly recommended.

It may be a little dated decor wise but when it comes to a good hearty meal a visit here ticks all the boxes. Steaks are good value and all ages are catered for. Pleasant staff and efficient service. Tables usually available however booking is advisable.

Called in to meet a pal who was already there when he phoned. Decided to eat as it wasn't busy. Asked for menu but needed to ask again as staff did not seem keen to help. Meals were good sized portions but veg was bland carrots swimming in water. Not much appeal to predictable menu which needs refreshing like much... More

Fab location. Somewhere we go a few times a year and its consistently nice. It's comfortable and cosy inside. No need to dress up (always a bonus in my eyes!). Very big portions of hot proper home cooked food. The hot rock where you cook your own steak on a hot plate is novel and my steak is always perfect... More

Greeted by a friendly funny guy, I guess who owns the pub. Like he's every bodies friend which I like personally . Good selection of drinks at the bar although wished for more cider options!! Ordered steak on the rocks, was a really new experience . Made the steak hot and tasty through out , where steak usually gets tough... More

Visited recently with friends after they recommended it. Average pub grub in an idyllic location, unfortunately spoilt by an unpleasant and rude hostess, not only to myself but to other customers.
