Quick per Christmas get together

It was a Sunday evening and luckily managed to find a pub that still serves food on a Sunday night. Enjoyed the meal

Went here on a Sunday around 4pm. There were still quite a few tables eating. I had cider from the bar and my friend wanted hot chocolate but this was not available. Machine was broken !!!. I went to the ladies, and whilst in the cubicle a member of staff was very loudly burping and tarting herself in the mirror.... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a good pint here after a long cold walk close by. Will be returning as the menu looks worthy of a few samples. A lovely cosy pub. Great views around and lovely walks

Ate here with a small group, walking in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff; good quality, reasonably priced food and a selection of beers and ciders. All very warming on a cold December evening.

We stopped nearby at the hen cloud annex. This inn not only has great staff and a fine selection of ales and ciders, but the food was to die for. Lots of traditional British meals to choose from and tonnes on the plate at very reasonable prices. A little gem

On the way to Stoke for meeting a sign by the road side and a short trip up a lane. The result, a very pleasant pub with a nice atmosphere and good welcome. Service was quick and the food plentiful and of high standard. We will return.

Cosy pub with decent range of food, service efficient. I opted for the chili con carne which was very good but at £9.95 perhaps in the high side cost wise. The strange thing was it was served with chips carrots and peas (as most other meals were).... but as I said the chilli was very good
