We came across The Burnt Gate by accident today and decided to have lunch. What a treat! The barman was very friendly, good craft beers and a very tasty menu. I can recommend the risotto balls for a starter! Lovely decor and personal touches. Dogs welcome in the lounge where there was a cosy open fire. We'll be back!

Whether my voting choice will be quite as successful remains to be seen however and I'm not saying how I voted, so don't ask. The service here is always especially warm and attentive and I chose the beetroot and rice burger with chunky chips which proved... More

A wonderful atmosphere for a intimate meal, fantastic food complimented by a great wine choice. We enjoyed the meal and returned at the weekend to yet another great meal with great service. Thank you. We will return.

Lovely friendly pub and restaurant. The owner is friendly and attentive and the lunch was very good indeed. Took seven month old baby who loved sitting in the high chair and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a visit.

Had a very good family meal here, with an excellent choice of gluten Free options. Not cheap but good value for money and service.

I have recently transitioned from being vegetarian, which is a diet I have eaten since I was a child, to a vegan diet. After doing a bit of research into what was on offer in my local area, a visit to the Burnt Gate was a must. My partner was visiting me from Liverpool. He is a meat eater, so... More
