Vegetarian Selection Awesome

Fantastic selection for vegetarian's - I have never been to a restaurant with such a good selection of food for a vegetarian. Well Done The Burnt Gate. Two of us went for dinner, one veggie one carnivore - First time ever, we were both spoilt for choice. I would recommend the Portobello Mushroom... read more

We visited here in February based on reviews and their own website. I was getting more than bored of pubs thinking vegetarians want butternut squash at the centre of every meal! It turned out that the vegetarian meal I chose that evening was its first outing. I found this out as the waitress came and asked what I thought of... More

We were in the area for the day and picked the Burnt Gate for a lunchtime meal after seeing positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Despite arriving 5 minutes before last orders for food, we were treated to excellent, genuinely friendly service and some top class food. The Anslow Pie was delicious and the baked salmon fillet was perfect. We will be... More

We haven't been to The Burnt Gate for sometime so I chose it for my 86 year old mother today. We were greeted by lovely bar staff, very friendly and welcoming. We had drinks at the table and the menu was varied, we chose the Mackerel Pate for starters and the Roast Beef main course. The food was lovely with... More

Good array of choice which suited everyone. When the meals arrived the presentation was good it looked like a very exclusive restaurant, the quality was great I think... More

My sister and brother in law live in Derby and took us to this pub for lunch. The service was fantastic. The staff were so attentive. The food was amazing. I had salmon with the most delicious sauce. Would definitely recommend. Lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be going back on our next visit.

Staying in the area on holiday and we had read good reviews so called in for lunch. We were given a really warm welcome by the staff and enjoyed some quality food from the lunchtime menu which had some interesting choices. The atmosphere was really good and we enjoyed a leisurely lunch with first class service. Will definitely return if... More
