Shamefully it's been sometime since we've dined at this classy restaurant. Qualitatively better than anywhere in the locality, in terms of food, service and the whole dining experience; which begins from the moment you enter. A warm welcome followed by petits fours and olives in the comfortable reception room (along with a G&T) makes for a relaxing start. Then into the... More

We had our first lunch at the restaurant recently and we were all very happy with the service, food & service. Will definitely be going back again. In fact, I have booked a table already. I would advise anyone looking for a new restaurant to give this one a try. Well worth it.

We are regular visitors to the Old Vicarage, mid-week and Sundays as a couple, friends and family and extended family etc. We think the place is brilliant with excellent service always and the menu provides superb fine dining which is great value for money. Always a relaxed atmosphere - and not a place to be in a rush. The last... More

This is a traditional resaurant with high quality food and attentive service. A place to go with the family, a good place to take your mother but probably not the place for a hot date! The service cannot be faulted. The menu choice is good - particularly if you like goat's cheese and the partions are generous. This is not... More

We went for the 'early bird' menu, fantastic food, service at very reasonable prices. Would def go again. I had lamb shank, which was not fatty at all and full of flavour!

I liked this restaurant a lot. Not because it was fantastic........ but because it tried very hard and, at times almost succeeded in being fantastic. The fact that Pascal responds to negative reviews here is testimony to that fact. So, what I liked was a classy but unpretentious ambience with efficient and polite but not intense service. I also liked... More

Whilst visiting my sister in Burton I asked if we could go for a really nice lunch and we couldn't have asked for any better than here. Really warm welcome with pre lunch drinks in the lounge with complimentary olives. We were then moved through to the dining space which was tastefully decorated and filled with light from the beautiful... More
