We went with a groupon voucher and were given a special menu which was a shame because we don't mind paying a supplement for more expensive dishes on the main menu. The decor is very pleasant and the service was prompt and polite, could have been a bit more chatty. My husband loved his cauliflower soup starter, I had pâté... More

I agree with a previous review meal overall was only average. Not a friendly greeting. Felt we were on a cheap meal deal. Ordered a bottle of wine the waiter ( I think owner) didnt offer to pour it. My husband had pâté which was nice, I ordered salmon with blinis, dressed in a lot of olive oil! Both ordered... More

First visit to 99 Station Street we went as a group of 6. We were greeted by very friendly staff and the service all night was excellent. Good choice of food on the menu, the food arrived timely and was very well presented and tasty, the atmosphere was good and we could not fault the evening. We went on a... More

Visited 99 again and was not disappointed again. Superb service nice and relaxed but attentive. The food was very well presented and so so tasty best bread and butter pudding I've tasted. Will be returning very soon

Having heard good comments about this place, we decided to give it a try. Viewing the menu & prices on the internet before our visit we were expecting something special........how wrong we were! The Steak & Pork we ordered for our main meals were extreamly overcooked & very tough, starters not much to shout about either! Not a good experience... More

Visited for birthday meal on a Friday evening using a Groupon voucher. Food was OK but I have to say I was disappointed having read the great reviews. I'm assuming the menu for Groupon vouchers is below their usual standard, as what we were served was watery soup, relatively tough steak (and no steak knife) and a less than welcoming... More

behind a most modest façade lies a friendly environment serving food to please even the most severe critic.

Table for 6 - evening meal. All said the same... Disappointing! Lacked atmosphere, service was too laid back - waiter (possibly owner?) had no enthusiasm! We went on recommendation but would not return. We travelled from Derby and for the money - Darleys, Masa or The Bulls Head at Repton would have been 100% better! £20 for an average at... More

Very disapointed that having chosen courses from the menu, the waitress had to return to us 3 times because the chef had not had a delivery of our choice. Don't you think it would have been more customer friendly to re do the menu for that evening instead of reading what we could have had !!!
