Came here on the way back from the Alton Towers water park. Ten of us went here for food. Was surprised that there were not many tables occupied as this is a nice place. For starter I had prawns and chorizo. This was served with fresh bread. For main I had the lamb and mint burger. Food was very nice... More

So glad we found this fab little place, every part of our meal & drinks was superb! Starters were prawns and chorizo and mussels in cider - wow the prawns were as good as any tapas ive eaten in spain, perfectly cooked, brilliantly seasoned and the home made bread was woolfed down! Mains were just as good, all home cooked... More

Stopped at a campsite a mile away, went for a meal our 1st night there and the car broke down. The owners were quick on the ball to help to no avail! We needed a new starter motor, they was more than happy to let us leave the car there for our stay and also offered to drop us off... More

We were staying at the campsite up the road and strolled down to village about 2pm on Saturday afternoon. Place was quiet but the welcome really warm. Both ordered a bacon and cheeseburger and what we got far exceeded our expectations- good quality burger, bacon, dripping with cheese and served with a bucket of fabulous home made chips! So impressed... More

This is the second time we have visited the blacksmiths arms prior to viewing the alton towers fireworks from a local vantage point. On both occasions the staff have been friendly, the young waiter even recognised us from last year and everybody seemed to want to please. The food is good, my son always has the children's make your own... More

We stayed at the b&b opposite that have dined here twice. Lovely country pub vibe and home cooked meals. Nice variety of drinks too.

My self, parner and 4 friends stayed 2 nights here in July. We went to Alton Towers theme park. The staff at the Blacksmiths are friendly, and nothing is too much. The rooms are new and lovely. We recommend the sweetcorn soup and staffordshire oat cakes... yum!! Will be visiting next year..

As there are better pubs in the village. Staff were friendly but the the place needed a basic clean and tidy up. The menu was a bit odd but sounded intriguing but the food didn't live up to what was promised.
