Booked a table after a long day at Alton Towers. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome when we arrived. The decor and ambience are both good. The food is what I would describe as homely pub type. I ordered a special of a 28 day Rib Eye Steak, with Stilton, and so did my nephew and... More

We had a fantastic day at Alton towers and stopped here on a Monday night at 6.15. It was quiet but gradually got busier as the evening progressed. The service was very friendly and we really enjoyed all the food we ordered and the drink as well. We would return if we went to Alton towers again.

Found this restaurant / pub by accident on the way to Alton Towers - so glad we did. The restaurant area is big and just right for families. We had a kids meal of sausage and mash, two adult meals of beef and ale pie and fish with chips. This was good homely pub food and I would recommend you... More

We visited as a party of 10 having visited Alton Towers. We pre booked and the food arrived promptly, well presented and freshly made. No complaints and kids cleared there plates!

Great value for money and the staff were really helpful when I asked them to hide a surprise birthday cake for a friend. They even turned off all the lights and helped sing 'happy birthday'. Excellent pub

Visited the blacksmiths arms a couple of times over the past month and the food has been excellent both times. Generous sized portions and good quality food. The waitresses were very friendly and went he extra mile to make sure our little boy was accomodated. Would recommend to anybody for a family meal

The staff tried their best, but there was only one other person for dinner when we arrived. Meal took ages to come, which was strange as they weren't busy!
