Nice country pub!

Went for a meal here after staying in a cottage in the local villages. The first thing that you will notice is that the restaurant itself is fantasically decorated and feels rustic, charming and an ideal decor for a country pub. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and plenty of space. They were... read more

After a long day at Alton Towers, we stumbled across this gem. We always approach any eating establishment with a bit of trepidation as one of our sons has multiple food allergies and is not easy to cater for. We are often disappointed with the attitude of staff and the selection available for him. Here it could not have been... More

After a full on day at Alton Towers our family didnt want to eat at the hotel so we took a car ride to see what we could find and came across this beaut of a pub. Very friendly staff, cute teapots everywhere in display. It was a genuine country pub. The best bit.... the food! We ordered from the... More

My daughter and I ate here as we were staying in the B&B across the road. We both had salads and they were very nice and well presented. The highlight of the meal, though, was the garlic bread which came up in a flower pot and is one of the best garlic breads I have had. It was light and... More

Decided to try here after picking our son up from work, and weren't disappointed. The children's menu was great and the adults had some unusual dishes. We had excellent service even though it was quite busy. We all ate our food and even had puddings. No complaints.

This pub was huge hit for us in two ways - the staff were really well informed when I asked about gluten free choices, and made sure that the chips were fried in fresh oil, also our children chose pizza and got to make their own at the table with a selection of toppings, a real treat.

Me and a group of friends decided to visit here on our short trip to Alton towers in the evening. Upon walking in it was clear to see that both the owners had a passion for what they were doing. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We sat down for food in the restaurant area, although the prices... More

From the outside, this pub looks a little lacking in character, however, I recommend you venture in. The front part of the pub looks like any traditional country pub, with traditional games, darts, table skittles and a piano! Go through into the dining room and you get a totally different experience. Very airy and comfortable. Meals are great value and... More

Visited with my hubby and daughter yesterday. It was nice to be given the option of sitting in the quieter area away from the main eating area. My cauliflower soup was delicious, and the home made bread a lovely touch. My Hubby's lasagne looked and smelt delicious, as did my daughters. My pie was succulent and very filling. We, unlike...
