Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Reservations, Delivery, Late Night
Description: Relax and unwind while you enjoy the stunning views from our peaceful bedrooms, and outside dining area. The seasonal views of the Valley and Moors are breathtaking (the coastal mist adds real magic to the landscape). Lush green in the spring and summer and full of character and action in autumn and winter. Partridge, pheasant and deer are our companions in the milder months. Staying at The Culbone is a great way to experience life on Exmoor.

Arrived on a busy Sunday without reservation and was lucky to get a table near the bar. Used the bar menu and had a light lunch and a couple of drinks. Food was well presented and plentiful for a lunch. Quite a noisy place and prices were higher than expected but this is more a restaurant than a "pub/restaurant. Would... More

Like others we were recommended the Culbone by the owner of the cottage we were staying at. Menu looked a bit limited... We booked a late Sunday lunch (always a risk), when we arrived the roast beef was wiped of the specials board, as this would have my fist choice I was concerned. We both went for the roast pork... What a great meal we had here. We started with scollops to share which were fantastic, and followed it up with the hake and the mussels which were equally good. Tons of flavour, a lovely location. The only problem was one of us had to drive- how ever I was keen to see do a little star gazing on the... More

The Culbone Inn is a place you ought to visit if you want to dine overlooking stunning countryside, experience a warm welcome and eat fantastic food (or in our case demolish!) We were staying nearby at a self catering barn conversion called Parsonage Otter Stables and were recommended by our host to go there (10% discount off the bill if... More

Well thank god for the details in our holiday cottage about good places to eat! We had visited The Culbone many years ago on a previous holiday and wouldn't have returned BUT how the place has changed! We are holidaying as a family with two children and our two dogs and were over the moon that we were invited in... More

I booked a table for lunch for my wifes birthday as she wanted to visit this restaurant. My wife being a fish lover had a lemon sole main course which she said was perfect and thoughly enjoyed it. I had a perfectly cooked steak dish and again pefectly cooked. My wife happened to mention that it was her birthday to... More

After asking around all holiday for a great place to eat seafood on our final night, The Culbone seemed like the place to go. It is set isolated near the top of a picturesque heather-covered moor, and has lots of parking. The interior is smartly decorated, but any sense of pretense is put aside by a big sign saying dogs... Best thing about this place is you can take dogs in, it's a very well presented place and service was v good but... Disappointingly, they seemed to have run out of half the options on offer, no savingon blanc, no balsamic and oil for the olives, no rump steak, no mash! We had the olives anyway which were brought out... More
