Whilst staying at Myrtle Cottage we crossed the road one lunch time for soup and scones. Attention to detail and a cheery atmosphere makes this one not to miss.

If you are visiting the North Somerset coast and are travelling between Lynmouth and Minehead you will pass through Porlock. I suggest you go for a walk along the coast path at Bossington, afterwards go to Porlock, there are plenty of cafes but today we stopped at the Whortleberry on the main rd just past the Post office on the way to... This afternoon after a couple of hours exploring the coast line, we stopped at the little café for lunch. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. The owners went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. Serving us a generous portion of tasty soup with plenty of crusty bread and... More

Parked in Porlock deciding to have a snack lunch. Walked out of car park & faced a cafe which looked full & not too enticing - continued to walk through Porlock passing what we thought were a couple of dingy Tea Rooms and almost out the village just by the Post Office discovered the Whortleberry. Fantastic!! As we walked in... More

The owners really try hard to please, the breakfasts, lunches and sweets are excellent and reasonably priced, My family have been there many times as we often visit Porlock and we always visit.

We forgot Whortleberry's was closed Wednesday afternoons in October, but the owner was still there and happily opened up for us to have tea and cakes. A pretty tea room in the lovely town of Porlock. Tasy food and good pices.

We visited here late on Monday afternoon and were warmly welcomed. Scones were delicious! Whilst we were there it reached closing time, but the owner said that we must not rush and to stay as long as we liked. He went outside to bring in his board and another party of people asked if he was still open. We were... More
