Lush cream tea

Sat on a lovely Sunday afternoon in a small sun trap patio , enjoying a delicious cream tea. A little bit of British paradise. Highly recommend !

Lovely scrummy tea on a windy wet day, and we left with bundles of whortleberry jam. Our son Arthur's first tea room and he certainly enjoyed it!

Friendly proprietors. One day I was very wet having walked the dog on Porlock Hill in pouring rain. I dripped water all over their floor. They boosted up the fire and covered a chair for me to sit on. Hot breakfast, not a long wait. Very reasonably priced. I wish they did decaff cappuccino coffee and they are looking into... More

A very gentle olde-worlde tea-room offering a good choice of high-tea items. Tables with windows looking out onto Porlock High St. Excellent putter-onner any time of day.

We happened on the tea room at the end of our short break and wished we'd gone there sooner. 2 steps in the door and the owner was hurtling towards us to greet our dog, then we had a fantastic breakfast at such a reasonable price. We stayed chatting for over an hour, the dog had bacon and I had... More

Unassuming from the outside but what service and value. An absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked, classic English breakfast. The portions were generous, two of everything, eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, toast, the works! And a big pot of tea to wash it down. And they threw in some free scones. Genuine friendly and unpretentious! Well worth the short walk up the high... More

We had breakfast and it was excellent. We took away with us some of the home made scones and a jar of their special Whotleberry jam, which is so full of fruit. Well worth a visit

On holiday last week in Timberscombe Somerset decided to visit the local village of Porlock with our Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel . After parking up we decided a cup of tea was the order of the day . Found this cafe on the main high street and decided to stop as the sign in the window said they were dog... More

As Dunster was closed we used a detour round the back lanes and decided to visit Porlock before making our way to Minehead. What a lovely restaurant. The proprietors are very friendly and we could have stayed chatting and laughing for hours! We had omelettes and a pot of tea. Beautifully cooked, and how nice to have a lovely fresh... More
