A wet day in Porlock was brightened by our brief trip to the Whortleberry Tearooms. We were warmly welcomed by Ann despite our dripping clothes and generally bedraggled appearance! Our (loud and very mobile) toddler, often difficult to contain whilst eating out, was given a high chair and some colouring to do. The owners were very friendly and genuinely interested... More

Found this tea room whilst visiting Porlock, so glad we did. The owners were very friendly and the food was good. Our small four legged companion was also welcomed here, made a fuss of and given some treats. Ann and Steve also have a small self catering unit which they happily showed us, maybe for future use. Thank you for... More

My husband and I popped in for lunch today after coming across this lovely Tea Rooms and what a find!!! The warm welcome, lovely tea and wonderful food made this a fabulous place to go. We'd only planned to stay for lunch, but ended up enjoying tea and cake afterwards in the pretty courtyard garden. The owners were incredibly friendly,... More

Had a full English breakfast here the other morning along with a fresh pot of tea. The food was lovely and the warm welcome we received was second to none. The cakes and scones looked so good we returned back again just after lunch. Let me tell you we weren't disappointed! The freshly made scones and clotted cream were delicious... More

Recommend by Reg from our campsite. On arrival met by Ann who made us feel very welcome. We both had the full English breakfast cooked by Steve which was absolutely fantastic, plentiful and warm with toast and fresh coffee. Beautiful tea rooms which offer a selection of jams and would recommend you buy some of the Whortleberry jam. Defiantly return... More

Really warm and genuine customer service. Great breakfast i had the works and the poached eggs were perfect with proper Heinz beans too. Also the home made cakes looked great and the smell of fresh baked scones straight from the oven was gorgeous. Had to buy some whortleberry jam too as go on diet tomorrow - honest!

I just had to write to say how fantastic The Wortleberry Tea room is. We moved to Porlock earlier this year, and we have always been made very welcome. Steve and Ann who run Wortleberry are so friendly and welcoming. We have made many friends whilst enjoying a cream tea here. Top marks to The Wortleberry from me my husband... More

We had been here several times a few years ago, and were happy with it, so called in whilst passing. The first thing we noticed on entry was a faintly unpleasant smell, a bit like old teabags, or could have been dogs. We had teacakes and coffee. The butter for the teacakes was provided in little portions wrapped in paper.... More

We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit to our tearoom, it's a shame that you did not voice your concerns at the time as we would have gladly done all we could to rectify the problems, but thank you for taking the time to post a review. More

Myself and my mum called in for a cream tea on a drizzly afternoon. We had a very warm greeting and were made to feel extremely welcome. We had cream tea and hot chocolate and it was all delicious - I opted for the Gluten Free scone and it was absolutely fantastic. All of the scones and cakes in the... More
