Gem of a find.

Gasping for a cup of tea and was delighted to find this tea room open. Charmingly decorated room. Though it was sunny the open fire was welcome on a chilly February day. Was looking for lunch and a cuppa after taking my elderly mother out for a drive. The place I originally was going to was closed. So we said we'd try The Whortleberry tea rooms. Wonderful food, fresh, home made and delicious. Altogether a wonderful visit and will certainly go again and recommend to local people. The owners are charming and... More

We live in Italy and always travel back to the Uk in the winter, I have been dreaming about a cream tea for so long. We had a weekend away on business to Porlock and there we found a place open for a cream tea. I was in heaven, we had two huge scones that were perfectly cooked. The couple... More

A group of seven of us stopped midway through a very windy bike ride. They couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The fire crackling away was a welcome warmth from the gale outside, and the seemingly bottomless tea and coffee alongside a great portion of soup sorted us right out, to the point where we got teashoplocked! Recommended highly.

We popped in for a cuppa. They were so friendly - and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Lovely real fire, lovely cup of tea. Pop in if you are passing.

We've been many times to this great tea room. The service is very friendly, the prices are good and the food is good and nicely presented. There's a decent selection of food on offer to suit most tastes and pockets. The tea room is dog friendly which is great for dog owners however may be a bit off-putting for non-owners,... More

My wife and I stopped in Pollock after a very wet 2 hours mountain biking. We were cold and soaked through. The lady owner very kindly said it would not be a problem for us to eat there and offered us a spot at the rear of the premises to put our bikes We tucked into some home made jam... More

We stopped off here walking the south west coast path and whilst there were several tea rooms in Porlock we picked Whortleberry Tea Rooms and were not dissapointed. As we were in our full walking gear we sat out in the small courtyard behind the tea rooms which was lovely. The owners were very attentive and after looking at the... More

We popped in out of the rain for a coffee and toast. Both us and the dog were made to feel very welcome. The cafe was very busy with both locals and visitors. They served a small menu but all homemade and freshly cooked. The cakes looked lovely.
