Very nice breakfast

We had breakfast and it was excellent. We took away with us some of the home made scones and a jar of their special Whotleberry jam, which is so full of fruit. Well worth a visit

On holiday last week in Timberscombe Somerset decided to visit the local village of Porlock with our Blue Roan Cocker Spaniel . After parking up we decided a cup of tea was the order of the day . Found this cafe on the main high street and decided to stop as the sign in the window said they were dog... More

As Dunster was closed we used a detour round the back lanes and decided to visit Porlock before making our way to Minehead. What a lovely restaurant. The proprietors are very friendly and we could have stayed chatting and laughing for hours! We had omelettes and a pot of tea. Beautifully cooked, and how nice to have a lovely fresh... More

Popped in after a long walk with our 2 dogs. All made to feel at home and even the dogs got a treat. Good menu and lots of local jams and pickles. Great tea with clotted cream and whortleberry jam. Definitely worth a visit.

Whilst staying in Porlock my wife and I had three very good lunches in the Whortleberry Tea Room. The proprietors are very friendly and good humoured and the restaurant its self is very clean and nicely decorated. The food portions are fresh and of a good proportion, which is why we went on three occasions, knowing that we would receive... More

Whilst staying at Myrtle Cottage we crossed the road one lunch time for soup and scones. Attention to detail and a cheery atmosphere makes this one not to miss.

If you are visiting the North Somerset coast and are travelling between Lynmouth and Minehead you will pass through Porlock. I suggest you go for a walk along the coast path at Bossington, afterwards go to Porlock, there are plenty of cafes but today we stopped at the Whortleberry on the main rd just past the Post office on the way to... This afternoon after a couple of hours exploring the coast line, we stopped at the little café for lunch. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. The owners went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. Serving us a generous portion of tasty soup with plenty of crusty bread and... More
