Worth a detour!

Came across this place by chance during mid week and judging by the rammed car park its not a very well kept secret., and very nice too. Great selection of lunch items on the menu, I opted for the coronation chicken salad sandwich which came as a farmers portion, freshly sliced bloomer bread, and... read more

The good bits. Great location to meet my mum and sister, just off the main road to Frome near Beckington. Lovely welcome and table service, so had ordered and was comfy very quickly. The full english breakfast was fantastic. Great sausage and bacon, lovely mushrooms and all cooked very well. The Bad Bit. The coffee here is the worst I... More

Not much to say about this, We went for fisha dn chips, which were good, but the wait was longer than we had hoped and the ambience was non-existent. However, that is fair given that it is a restaurant attached to a (very good) farm shop.

My first ever visit was for Lunch, I had the Prawn Salad which was excellent value for money. My fellow diners had the Coronation Chicken Salad and a Brie & Grape Baguette. All plates were cleared and the Pot of tea I had was enough for 3 cups. 😀

I had higher hopes having visited the fantastic farm shop next door. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't all that good!

Been here several times and each time there are vast improvements. It's becoming more and more popular which can be a little issue due to the amount of people that pop in. The staff work hard to try and cater to the needs of customers. Food can be rather expensive- but the quantity of food that you are given is... More

We had lunch at the cafe, which was fantasic! We had fish and chips next door for supper, which was cold and had the tax texture of being refried a few times. Real shame because the fish and chips are pricey and we'd heard so many good things about them.

Had a lunch here and thought it was quite good. Service was reasonably quick. I had the savory afternoon tea which was good....only criticism was that the two cheese scones were not that tasty. They seemed to only have a small amount of cheese on top of them but none inside. Prices were good and the portions quite generous. My... More

Just had a meal here went with my whole family, which is rare, so thought this place would be nice as I had heard great things. It was terrible! Service was awful both "waitresses" stood chatting, not clearing the table when required. Childrens meals completely wrong and yet still on the bill at the end. Burger dry. Chips overdone. Tart...
