Pleased we waited for a table!

It was very busy (always a good sign!) when we arrived. As there were no free tables we took a walk round the shops then went back to the table reserved for us. Service was really friendly. We both had leek, ham and cheese pasta bake with a really fresh and varied salad. Delicious! We had pots of... read more

This was our first visit to Dulverton a charming Exmoor Village. We stopped in the Copper Kettle for a restorative coffee and were seduced by the home made cakes on display. The fruitcake was delicious! The home made shortbread is crisp, light and melts in the mouth. The coffee was good. All well priced and served by friendly staff. Well... More

A wonderful spring walk on Dunkery Beacon followed by a quick break here. It's dog friendly for a start. Also walker friendly.Us not not in our Sunday best. Toasted teacakes. Can you really have to much butter? A hot Bakewell tart with clotted cream and simple hot tea. A perfect end to a great day. There is outdoor seating. But... More

Everyone visiting Dulverton should experience the delight that is The Copper Kettle. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is homely and the food is delicious, well presnted and sensibly priced. The cream teas are absolutely delicious and their home made cakes are to die for. I must admit to being rather biased as I am a local but... More

Several people have recommended the Copper Kettle so we went there for lunch today. The food was really lovely, just the right amount and very tasty it was too. Freshy cooked vegetables, piping hot straight from the kitchen. It took me back to restaurants of a bygone age, not in decor but in having good, honest home cooking. Flash it... More

Wow what a find for either lunch, a cup of tea and or a cake. We had done a muddy walk at Tarr steps and were looking for lunch. Being with our hound we are usually limited to pub bars. Low and behold we spotted a chalk board saying dogs welcome. And boy what a welcome. Everyone came out of... More

On a day out in one of our favourite villages, we stopped for lunch in this friendly, cosy cafe. The food and coffee were delicious, but all the staff were welcoming and made us feel glad we'd chosen to eat there. Thankyou. Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys being made to feel as though your custom matters......that's what the Copper... More

Used trip advisor to find a lunch venue. So pleased we did. Absolutely faultless. Very friendly staff and local people too. Saw lots of fresh food being served. Main courses substantial. Desserts and cakes all fresh. A little gem. Going back in July with a few girlfriends.
